  1. Had similar problem with 2004 with 59K miles. My problem is that when I listen to radio on ACC for about 30 minutes, car won't start. Wait about an hour, and it starts right up. Dealer checked the battery, alternator and found no problem. Dealer mentioned that it could be caused by "old" battery but surprisingly enough, did not try to sell me a battery. <_< Anyway, good luck in finding a solution to your problem.
  2. Hello, I have a strange and annoying problem with my 2004 LS430. Witn 30 minutes of listening to the radio or 2 hours of emergency blinker (by accident), the car would not start. it will crank for few seconds, then click, click click. Ok, it sounds like the battery but after an hour or so, it will start right back up again without a jump start. When this happend the first time, Lexus dealer checked the battery and the charging system and everything was a-ok. Has anyone else experience similar problem and hopefully a solution to my problem? Thank you, Mike
  3. 2004 430 and have the same problem. I either have to hold the lever or set it with lever half way depressed. I thought it was some type of design flaw with Lexus. Or Costco, Shell, Chevron and Velero stations use the same pump/nozzle since I have the same problem at all stations - not just in the SF Bay Area but in Los Angeles as well. Didn't bother asking the dealer - probably charge $200 just to tell me there isn't anything wrong. If anyone finds an anwer to this puzzling question, please post. Thanks, Mike
  4. I have a 04 LS430 and I would think your microphone is fine since it is asking you to rephrase. If your microphone isn't working, it would say something like "Voice Command Cancelled..." This voice command, at least for me, doesn't work too well. When ask NAV to go "home", it would reply, "FM radio", when I say "FM Radio", it would reply "AM Radio..." and I thought it was my accent but doesn't work with other voices (friends, family, neighbors, etc). Its not the Nav disk either, I've updated with most recent version but no difference was noted. Would love to hear what others have experienced!
  5. My wife works as a RN and parks 2004 430 with 48K miles outside. When the temperature goes down below 54 and driven about 10 miles, my wife hears a sound that is similar to "2 stainless pots banging together." Loud enough that she hears it with all windows rolled up. When driven over 10 miles, sound vanishes. Of course, we live outside the "noise" zone so I haven't heard. I guess I will park the car outside the garage this weekend and drive and see if I can duplicate the sound. Have anyone gone through this? If so, did you find a solution to the noise? Thanks in advance for your help! Mike
