  1. eugenez, Where you able to resolve this problem, if so could you tell us what you replaced and the part number. I'm having the exact code pop-up on my 2000 ES too. Back in April thats when i got the first P0440 error code. I've reseted the code and it didn't came back until 4 months later. I purchase a new OEM gas cap and tried to look for vacuum leaks, but did not find any. So until now i'm still having this MIL light on with the TRAC off. I did attempt to remove the charcoal canister, but i back out on removing it because i did not want to damage any vacuum hoses without no replacement. I've also check the functionality of the 3 VSV by connecting a 9V battery with alligator clips, all 3 VSV have a clicking noise so it should be good. I'm close to buying a new charcoal canister but still waiting around if anybody have a definitive fix for this problem. I've checked a local mechanic and ask them how much they would charge to troubleshoot my car and they told me it would cost $180, so with that price i rather put that money towards a new canister.
  2. alexxus, like i said above i took mind to a honda mechanic who was referred to me from a friend. Send me a private mail cuz i don't want to just mention his name and # here in this open forum.
  3. Yes. I used the timing belt kit from ebay. A honda mechanic work on it and he charge me $350 for labor. it's been 8 months and everything is all good.
  4. i received the kit today and this is what i got......yeah i know it's not OEM (OEM QUALITY). i'm kind of worried on quality of this product. anybody else wants to comment on this. according to anthonyiez it's OEM.
  5. spoke to the ebay seller, he said i will be getting the bando brand for the timing belt. he wasn't sure about the water pump though. is bando really the OEM for the timing belt, cuz i called our local lexus here on honolulu,hi and all he told me was the belt is a toyota brand. so is anybody out there could verify this for me, it would be a great help. they also suggested to change out the thermostat, should i include this....the local lexus dealer quoted me for just the parts alone for a 90k was $605. now you know why i went with ebay and take a risk on ordering non OEM parts.
  6. thanks for the reply, hopefully i get the bando brand.
  7. just ordered a timing belt kit from ebay. just wanted some opinion from you guys, if this is good quality part. it says it's OEM/OES, don't know what OES stands for. let me know... oh, what is the OEM brand name for the timing belt anyway for my 2000 es300 (1MZFE). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=250140139292
