  1. Has anyone run 245 -45/ 17...on the stock 17x8 factory rim...?

I have run this tire set up on my Supra...and run em at the track

and both the gs4 and supra have interchangable parts/sizes as i have swapped stuff before...(3.76 lsd)

so i assume that the clearance is the same as well.

    just checkin, wanna make sure...

  2. Hey Gang,

OK...Aftermarket rims sure do ad a abit of style and good looks when ya see a larger set on a car.

Not huge... but just a bit... I've done it on performance vehicles, and am about to do it on my 2000 GS4...

I have done a bit of work so far...SRT Intake and ECU- Tein Strt Twer Brce- Supra Brakes/ braided lines- 3.76LSD- Eibach Springs- Trans Cooler- Apexi Catback-

and a single turbo being done in august by 'speedforsale' in atlanta...

    Here's my dilema...

I am running stock 17's...toyo proxe 4's (great tire!!!)

I wanted to go to 19's but everyone said that the lexus rack/pinion and pump is not set up for that mass...so...especially with my mods...

So, now I wanna run 18x9 front and 18x10 rear....

Has anybody run a similar setup and how does it look....

whats the feedback you're getting with public and with drive response?

Thanx for your feedback and help.

    Drive safe...

  3. Thanx for the feedback...

I did recieve and post on another site...which informed me that with and performance mods...

Increasing the tire size would be a non issue if only increased by 1 size form factory specs...so 18's would be ok...

and I was also told to use discretion when going 19 to 20....as it would be ok if the driving style was not too agressive and mods where minimal.

Again thanx for the response...good luck...

    Drive Safe.

  4. I just extended my K & N FIPK (3.5" intake piping) downward behind my wheelwell. I am extremely happy with the results. There is plenty of room down there and it's boxed off behind the wheelwell insert and the undercarraige shroud. The sound is a lot nicer, just as loud during regular driving but during WOT the sound is incredible. Outside the car it is definitely louder at WOT because the filter is now more exposed and not as muffled as before under the hood.

    Driving -

At first when I reconnected the negative terminal and started it up it was the same. As soon as I took off I got nervous because the car was studdering and bogging down a lot, I thought I screwed something up big time, but I guess the ECU was just relearning the CFM coming in. Now it runs excellent! When I hit the gas it pulls right up to redline... maybe even a little further and quicker (I think it pushed my rev limiter up a little). Also, at 80 MPH my car is now at 2400 RPMs; before I think I was at around 2600 or so. It pulls so much harder and has a huge thrust as compared to my regular aftermarket intake setup. I highly recommend this DIY project! You just need to purchase 90 angle piping (must be cut down a little on the vertical straight), a piece of straight piping (cut down to about 8" or so) and two plastic/rubber pipe connectors with necessary clamps. Still to install my recently purchased Borla and Iridium plugs.

  5. I have a 2000 GS400 and recently put on a Swift Racing Technologies StageII HiFlo Intake/ECU....WOW...very nice bump in the HP almost 30more....

I see that those whom have done this mod above, also have put in a Dragon Torque Converter....

I just wanted to know if anyone here might have done this, and get some feedback?

    Thanks for your help.
