  1. DO NOT BUY THE CHROME! I have a set on my '03 and the chrome is flaking off. The flakes get in the brakes and make them squeal. My dealer said that Lexus has no solution and doesn't consider this their problem. What a bunch of BS. I've had chrome wheels on MUCH CHEAPER cars that still look great after 2 decades! Save your cash, Bill
  2. Greetings. I had the front turn signal bulb burn out on my 2003 GX recently. I started researching the fix on this board and found that this bulb seems to blow frequently. I also discovered that people had a wide variety of solutions that seemed to be mostly expensive and some difficult. My local Lexus service rep told me that "things have to be removed in order to get to it. It will take about 45 minutes and will cost about $55." I didn't believe him so I spoke to a different service rep at the same dealership. She told me that if you laid on the ground beneath the car you could change the bulb from there. I bought the bulb at Lexus for $12. Luckily the dork at the parts counter gave me the wrong bulb. Frustrated, I went to my local Schuck's Auto Parts and did some homework. Turns out this is a very common bulb, the 1156A (for Amber) and I got 2 for about $3.50. I swapped the bulb out in about 3 minutes myself in the driveway, on my back, from under the front bumper. Very easy. Needless to say, the $12 bulb is returning to Lexus today. Anyway, hope this helps others with the burnt bulb issue. Bill
  3. Are you talking about just the driveline clunk, or are there TSBs for the sulpher smell and steering wheel vibration as well? Thanks, Bill
  4. I just bought a 2003 GX with 49,000 miles on it. It is super clean and I love it! Except...I have the dealer getting the "clunk" fixed and doing some great "red carpet" warranty stuff on other things they found like a loose trim piece and a door seal that they found was coming loose. I just had a "sulpher smell" moment tonight coming uphill that I've never encountered before and wondered what experience others have had getting this problem fixed with their dealer. I know it has to do with the catalytic converter but don't know if I can get it fixed with my soon to expire warranty. Thanks, Bill
  5. Tony...I'd like a copy of the latest nav DVD for my 2003 GX. Tried to PM you but the site won't let me. Please e-mail me at Seatown7@aol.com Thanks, Bill
