  1. I have a very active lifestyle (biking, surfing, sports, etc.) so looking for beige seat covers for my 2007 RX400h to protect the front leather seats. Can anyone recommend good fitting beige seat covers that can be washed?
  2. Can someone please explain why the traction battery on my 2007 Lexus RX400h never stays fully charged (green on the Energy Monitor)? It always displays 2-3 blue bars (on Energy Monitor); on initial start up every day. Is the traction battery suppose to be fully charged? Does it dis-charge when you keep the car sitting overnight? Is this normal? When can you tell that the traction battery needs to be replaced? Thanks for any information.
  3. Thanks all for the re-assurance and replacement cost of the "traction" battery on the RX400h. I'm a hybrid car newbie so still learning the terminology. :)
  4. I am looking into buying a pre-certified Lexus 2007 RX400h SUV with about 29k miles. I know the battery warranty is far from being expired, but would still like to know how much a replacement battery would cost. On the internet, I'm only find costs of about $3k, but that was in 2008. It's now 2010 and wondering if the cost has gone down. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Thanks, Karl. I followed your instructions...very simple. And it seemed to work. The window switch is stiffer and am able to bring the driver's side window up & down again. I wonder if my battery needs to be replaced. In any case...Thank you very much for this suggestion. I really appreciate it, BJP
  6. REALLY?! OK, I will try that. I've never disconnected the battery before. Could you possibly give me some instructions so I don't electricute myself? Or should I just go to a mechanic to be on the safe side? Thanks for the suggestion, BJP
  7. My driver's side window switch started acting up in the passed couple of months. I had the same issue as most of you whereby the window goes down but have problems getting it back up. The only difference is is that the switch feels soft a "mushy"; not rough and stiff. Does this indicate that the 1 switch out of 4 is bad and has to be replaced? I looked for a cost to replace but could not find anything except this post...does it really cost $600? Anyone know where I can find it for less? Thanks for you help, BJP
