  1. Consistantly 24 in the city, 29-31 on the highway with the cruise set on 75mph
  2. The sound clips that you provided does not help with identifying the problem you are having with the ABS system. Is you car still under warranty??
  3. you would ask. I actually had the camera in the garage with me when I installed them. Got side tracked and forgot to take pictures. sorry. If you want a pic I can turn the wheel and snap a few this weekend. steviej Please. I have 42k on the odo and its getting close for me to think about new brakes. I will likely need new rotors for they were resurfaced when I had the pads changed after 25k. So while I am changing out the rotors/pads, I may want to change out the brake lines as well. Thanks!!
  4. Curious as to why this TSB was issued. Anybody know why?? Other TSB's give a brief explanation for the bulletin.
  5. HID's may be more work than they're worth IMO. I replaced the fog lights on my '07 GS350 with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's. They are bright, white with a near match to the whiteness of the HID headlights. I also replaced the DRL's, again using Sylvania's Silverstar Ultra's. These really light up the road!! 9005 for the DRL's, 9006 for the fogs and can be found at just about any auto parts store.
  6. Take a look at Goodyear's Eagle Response Edge. An all weather tire that has great ride characteristics. Check the reviews out on Tire Rack or Discount Tire. I have them on my 07 GS350 which replaced the crappy Yoko Advans, and absolutely love them. Smooth, really quite, excellent traction wet or dry.
  7. Mine - fly fishing, mountain biking and watching the grass grow.
  8. Hey NC!! (I'm in Raleigh like you) Am I mistaken or did you and your wife recently have a baby??? Or were you just announcing (months ago) that your wife was expecting?? I mostly hang out at CL so I am not current on the happenings on this forum. Congrats in advance on the baby!!!
  9. Yep, only a front wheel alignment can be performed on your 4Runner since it has a solid rear axle. Vehicles that 4 wheel independent suspension will need four wheel alignments from time to time.
  10. I think that heavy feeling in the steering is inherent with AWD systems (IMO of the ones that I have driven). In addition, the GS's steering is electrically assisted, not like most other cars that have a hydraulic pump of some type.
  11. Same issue here, but I'm not complaining. Lexus should have designed the wipers to be varibly intermittent with the option of going automatic if one so chooses. Just like the headlights or the HVAC, we can manually turn them on/off, adjust or just go automatic.
  12. What type of road surfaces are you driving on?? Type of tires?? You could be tramlining if you are driving on a grooved surface. Also the type of tires you have, especially if they have multiple channeled grooves, will accentuate the "wandering" feeling you are experiencing.
  13. Check out Club Lexus for just about all the answers for your questions. There are pages and pages of info to help you out.
  14. +1 No obstruction here either. Maybe the obstruction is only on '06 300's, not '07 350's.
  15. What specifically would you like to know?? For Lexus vehicles, the first 3 digits indentify the world manufacturer. The 4th digit is body type, the 5th is for the engine, the 6th is for the model. The next 2 tells you about the restraint system and model line. The 9th digit is simply a "check digit" - means nothing. The 10th digit is the model year, the 11th digit is the assembly plant where the vehicle was made. Digits 12-17 are the sequential production numbers. I hope this is what you are looking for.
  16. Is it any real surprise what happened?? She's just more proof of what typically happens to "child stars" - fame, fortune, trouble. I believe the root of the problem rests with the parent(s) and their apparent lack of parental stills.
  17. Also, make sure you are parked directly underneath the opener.
  18. What I believe you are hearing is the sound from the direct injectors. Nothing to worry about, perfectly normal.
  19. I've been following along this tread, curious to see what the outcome would be, though I personally felt from the very beginning that it was going to be a lost cause. Please do not take any offense for I am playing Devil's advocate but did you really think Lexus should replace your wheels due to something that you may have done (or didn't do) while cleaning the wheels?? (see your original post) I wouldn't think so. This is like me asking Lexus for a new paint job due to the swirl marks/spider-webbing that is slowly showing up in my paint from me simply washing my car.
