Hey Jake... I Have AT/Revo on my other jeep... they r nice tires on snow as well as if you take them offroad.... they have a decent wet driving comfort too.. but the only negative is that they r very noisy on highway driving... since GX is already a noisy suv on high speeds... tires make it ridiculous... but it depends on the use. And personally i think switchin from duelers to cross terrains is only advisable if lexus is compensating for the switch. if not, then i would recommend that you consider TOYO"S. They r fabolous tires.

hey actually there's a nav screen adapter that you have to put with the camera... the camera was installed in rear bumper... rear view takes over whenever the shift lever is in R position and goes back to the normal screen when the shifter is moved ... yes it can be done with a 03 as well... tell me your location... may be i can ask my installer... if he know's of someone who can do this there....

but we are talking about cars which don't come with factory navigation. i don't think aftermarket dvd player can be worked out through the steering.

hey thats the problem... i can't find any pic with the lexus bug deflector for GX 470. Even on the Lexus Site they show a RX 330 as an example when you click on the bug deflector... i hope you know what i mean.

can't believe noone has a bug deflector installed on thier cars.... ???

Hey Guys just wanted to know if anyone has a bug deflector installed on thier GX. i wanted to get one on my black gx but am wondering if its gonna spoil the front looks of the car.... pls share some pics if possible.

Hey TIMEGX I have to admit that this pics look much better. The lights look white here.... Since there's noone around here who has a superhid kit installed on thier GX... its very diffcult to make a decision based on Pictures.... I know that everytime you increase the color temperature over 4300k, you start loosing out on lumens. 4300k color temperature has the most lumens and thats the reason every OEM HID comes with 4300k. Anyway do you have any pics of the installation... specially the mating adapter .... thanks

TimeGX thanx for the input. well i just got an email from megan and she's gonna send me the mating adapter only... and i will try it out and see how easily it will fit. Other then that... from your pics i noticed... even though this kit is 250 cheaper... the xenon depot kit looks better... i mean the output seems better color... the pics posted by cyberflip show a very bright bluish white output. if you notice his pic... you will notice that reflectors of the lower beam light up pretty good.... but in your pics... reflector gives a greenish shade... and if the pic is taken closer .. then it doesn't show u any relflection from the Reflectors... i hope you know what i mean.!!

Hey TimeGX My question is regarding the mating adapter of the Superhid Kit. does the mating adapter goes rite in the factory harnesss like XenonDepot or if there's any modification needed. Hey Guys I notice the high rev also. specially when i start the car for the first time in the morning... not after that. about the start... thats a automatic starter ... and it cranks on its own once the key i used... so that is absolutely normal... the engine rev.. is due to the car temp. which is C when u first start and reving goes after the temp increases a little.

They are nice ... but i find them a little too green.... what do ya'll think?

Hey Yeah i do own a prado in india... and as far as i think ... it should fit the prado.. since prado's parts are fitting my gx here... not sure about the front bumper... but back ones will... so will the tail lights... not front lights...all the decals... ... just my opinion.

By the way, its not recommended to get both . low beam n high beam converted into HID's ... flashing just doesn't shorten the life of the bulbs... it doesn't even flash properly ... coz HID's take time to warm up... so when u flash ..it doesn't do anythin .. the other person would only notice a little bluish light... not enough to do it justice.... Secondly noone really drives with thier high beam on... so it doesn't make sense in changin them to HID's... u could just change the highbeam bulb to a performace bulb like PIAA. and it would complement the low beam hid's.. just an opinion.

Hello, You know, I am looking to purchase one too. I am in Canada and the dealer is asking US$56,446 (including approx. US$1,000 freight and delivery) for the higher end version with the DVD & GPS Navigation. If it was not for the "wrong side swing shoulda on the other side swing" rear hatch and the lack of a parking sensor option in Canada, I would have put down a deposit right there and then after a test drive today. It is silky quiet, good handling (for an SUV), lots of power, etc. when compared to the BMW X5 3.0i, Volvo XC90 T6 ... comparably equipped / priced. What is slowing my purchase is the door and the sensor ... and I thought I better go home and do a search on the internet. Sure enough, I found this web site to be very informative with both sides of comments on the same subject. As a potential buyer, I tend to believe the the issue described here with the rear axle and the smell. Knowing a little bit about manufacturing and quality systems, the issue with the axle is no excuse. I expect small problems like the cup holder does not fit properly, the roof rack is too hard to adjust, the air vents does not stay in the up position when going on rough road, etc. However, the rear axle is a major component and they should have tested the design and sorted it out during development. For the smelly air conditioner, both of my current automobile (neither are Lexus) have the same problem. One of them actually have electronics to automatically run the fan at full blast for 5 minutes or so after a predetermined time the ignition is turned off. It is my '97 Volvo 850. Thus, it is mildew/fugus issue in ducts and it is a design issue - not how well it is made given a particular design. Thus, no excuse either. I am going to have a lot of talk with the sales person on top of the price. Would I still buy it? May be - pending price, available options, and defects discussions. Hey Thanx for your reply. But now listen to my story. I did call lexus and complained about it ... they told me to take the car back to the dealership and insist on the Service Manager to take a look at it. I did just that and the Service manager told me that this has been a problem with lot of GX's but majorly with the new RX330. The crack is called Stress Fracture and its Because of Factory Manufacturing Defect. They replaced it for me Under Warranty. By the way My comprehensive deductible was $1000 so insurance couldn't really help me... but i'm lucky that Lexus got it done... Thanks for your Info though.

Hey Well i bought a 04' Lexus in Jan. And let me tell you its a beautiful SUV. I've driven almost every jeep out there... i owned a Range Rover before this one... but nothin compares to the GX. I think mainly coz of its size (with more then needed power) and some company leading features. I suggest you take it for a long testdrive... and see how it feels... if you like the feeling.... just BUY it. The only problem i had with it since is ... just a chip on my windshield.... but you can't help it .. really

I was told by my dealer (Lexus of Bellevue, WA) that the rear camera can only be installed at the factory. I was unhappy...also have an 04 w/out it (but want it). -X- Hey You can get a camera installed... i just got installed on mine... through an aftermarket shop here in toronto Canada for $400. the camera is OEM lexus and is connected to my NAV screen

Hey I just bought a 04' GX 470 about 3 months ago. And yesterday i noticed a crack on it. i don't remember (heard) any rock hitting it. So seems like its a problem with lot of people. Do you think we all can complaint about it to lexus and see if they replace it for us. Do you guys know if it can be repaired or not and how much would it cost?
