Thinking about doing the same thing, if you hear anything about some of the features related to the stock head unit, it would be much appreciated.

elemental designs has a custom subwoofer box that they are making for the lexus IS series it goes in the right rear corner of the trunk, and they can also build one for the left hand side as well. They built this enclosure for their sq10 subwoofers, but you should be able to talk to them and figure out what else they can build. I have had great success working with this company, and they have some of the best car audio you can buy for the money. Great bang for the buck and even better service. Just google elemental designs then search for vehicle specific enclosures on their site. I am also looking to install two 10's on the right and left wheel wells so any other info would be helpful.
