  1. Sir, I have recently purchased a used Lexus with 275,000 miles. Beautiful car, but it seems to be having problems with similar simtoms of a Catlyetic Converter, it is a CA car, but it isn't overheating. It is like I am trying to accelerate with the brake applied. It may be something with the traction control, but when I turn the traction control switch off it gets even worse, I had a hard time just backing it back into the driveway. Please reply.
  2. Power comes from an all-new 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine, large high-output electric motors and a newly designed large-capacity battery pack. It's then routed through a new dual-stage electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an all-wheel-drive system. "With 430 horsepower," says Bob Carter, Lexus group vice president and general manager, "the LS 600h L's V8 performance is on par with a 12-cylinder engine, yet its fuel economy rivals best-in-class V8s, and it's expected to receive a Super Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) rating as well.
  3. I’ve never understood why any of us should get agitated about the so-called “Lexus lanes” on interstates, or by an airport security sytsem that allows frequent flyers to pay for a background screening check that would allow them to whiz through airport security lines. The idea that somebody could use their wealth to buy “special treatment” infuriates most Americans. Neither bothers me. Anything that shortens my line in traffic or in waiting to pass through airport screening suits me just fine.
  4. Curious if you're not concerned about either performance or handling, then why the 2 cars in this class...? The IS 250 is a better value if not concerned about highest performance, not that it's a slouch, the 350 is the way to go if performance is what you seek. The IS 250 has the same bells and whistles, for the most part, for a bit less.
  5. Hi all, I was wondering how much insurance coverage is reasonable, I looked over my policy carefully and the liability for bodily injury is $25k per person and max. $50k per incident. Property damage is $50k per incident. I have been having this coverage on all of my cars for years, this is what my agent put in for me.
