well i havent drove the car to much,but not yet! no rubbing so far. but the ride quality is still good on smooth roads but u feel bumps. u sorta feel the bump the same if its a big or small bump,but u feel like every bump.

ok well this wednsday fedex brought my H&R 1.3F 1.25R lowering springs(camry). Thursday i had a day off from work so i started installing them 10:30 am. After a couple problems and confusions and 11 1\2 hours later they where installed! So this confirms some of you guy's questions about whether or not H&R camry springs will fit on a lexus. Ok well i just ordered H&R 1.3F 1.25R Lowering springs,and ishould get them toamrow and i want to install them after tomarow. can someone tell me a link or atleast go through a quick step my step of how to go about doing this. im doing it with a friend that installed lowering springs on his 93 awd eclipse,so i dont know how similar or different it is.

ok everyone i just ordered the H&R 1.3F and 1.25R lowering springs form tirerack. should get them within 3-4 days. Also ordered off ebay some strut bar http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT does anyone on here have a link that will help me install the springs?? My friend has a spring compressor and also has put on his springs for his 1993 mitsubishy eclipse AWD. I just want to still have a guide or instructions just in case somethings different and know any precautions i should take. Thanks!

seconds ones. also get 18's no doubt. i got 18's and im so glad i didnt get 17's b\c i was thinking about it. 17's just look too small. even 18's do . im sorta regretting getting 19's,all i would need is a fender roll.

With the one inch drop im sure it wont rub but with the 1.3 it might and i dont know if its worth the risk,do u guys think the wheel gap in the front with a 1 inch drop will be too bad??? 2. what color caliper\disk brimm do u guys thinki should paint them? i have high heat black and thats hat im leaning towards since its not too flashy . but do u guys think there is a different color that will look better but isnt to flashy? i also have red but i think tthats gonna be too honda civic. i was thinking maybemaybe silver woudl blend in... 3. is there anything i can do or put on my chrome wheels so that everytime it rains there isnt big water spots,and also after everyt drive theres liek brake dust. what can i do to mybe repel this? im telling you it has nothing to do with ure width,,u can get up to 8 inches for width without a problem,its offset. if u like the rims dont just sell them,i mean ure prabably gonna loose more money selling them and buying other new ones then u woudl to just get the better quality spacers they where talking about that already come with the longer studs.

oh :( well what can i do for my model?? anything ??? all these mods youve been talking about are for the 92-93 i guess. i can see the shifter mod i can still do ,i tried it but felt almost no change,just a slight one.

ok i love your posts!!! but i have a couple questions. i have a 1996,how is it different? is it basically the same steps or no? b\c i believe i have a different MAF. also so ure saying to advance my timing i just need to do three clicks right and its safe? what are the sideeffects. 1.leaner means faster ,but doesnt that also mean runs hotter? and 2. will MPG go up significantly,since a little less fuel is used in every revolution inside th ecyclinder.

yea its definalty the offset,they arent too wide. i just got 18X8's for my car with no rubbing. but 40 mm offset.

The way you are thinking mburnickas is what is keeping lexus dealerships prices so high,b\c many rich people think that way. That is ignorant thinking, i can bet that moms-bpops garage will do a better job then the lexus dealership,just like u will do a better job then all of them(if u wiould be able to do it). Just b\c u bought a 35K car doesnt mean you should buy the best everything for it. Why dont u order 100 octane gas for it? im sure it burns better and leavs less carbon deposits. Also for people like me where i have a 1996 thats worth about 5.5k spending that 740 is like 1\6 the price of the car,as opposed to getting it done elsewhere.

i installed them myself. my left foglight was broken so instead of paying alot of money i went to murrays and bought aftermarket ones that are normal looking but about 75% the thickness of the stock lexus ones. so only prabablem was mounting them but i figured it out,just squized them into my plastic grill with a lil force and used a glue gun to keep them there, looks much better that way!

yea they dont at all,but i just installed new foglights(which made my car look soooo much better form the front b\c the foglights are really clear as opposed to my old yellow ones.) and these foglights are seriously atleast 3 times brighter then my headlights:)

i agree,for anytone saying that these mods are stupid and ES isnt a sports car,while i agree ES isnt a sports car if thety dont like it then dont comment. These mods are posted for those who want to do it, i havent seen ideas this good on this forum yet..... hmm i would try this tranny thing but im afraid since i have a 1996 es300,its already older. and for me im no engineer but isnt more pressure equal more heat???????? how is it the other way around.

mym wheel offset is 40mm. hmmm how rough is very ruff,i mean i dont mind a rough ride b\c i like the sporty feel.

i have a 1996 es300, and i just got installed some 18X8 chrome motegi dpk rims. Now i want to lower it,but ive got a couple concerns. i know the eubach camry springs fit the lexus but what about the H&R ones? heres the link. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspens...82.2&perfCode=S does anyone know if my car will rub? i have 3 inch gap with the fender up front and liek a 1.75 inch gap with the fender in the back. but the gap between the front tire and that strut thingy is only 1 inch in the back. does that make a difference? does lowering the car make the thing come closer the the tires? i think i want these and not the eubaachs b\c 1" doesnt sound liek enough and 1.6 is too much without definate rubbing. so these are 1.3 froint and 1.25 rear which evens the front and back A LITTLE and its sorta in the middle. ALSO will i need to buy a camber kit, or will i have little camber?

hmm,see imthinking of doing either 45% all around OR 50 in the front and 40 everywhere else. oi saw couple cars with two different %'s and it looked just fine,you could hardly even tell unless up close anyways. but im not getting metallic or anything just simple black,and ofcourse done by a shop.

hmm yea,well i have a white 1996 with tan leather interior. so i dunno i mean i think ive decded that black will look the best but still decideing on the % tints and stuff. anyone else have any suggestions?

ok well i just got my rims in which ill post somepics up when i have time,but i have a big question. i want to get tints but my state law says 50% in front two doors and everywhere else100% is legal. ive noticed that lexus windows come already pretinted. anyone know what % it is,b\c state law goes by NET light transmitted not jsut film. also anyone have any suggestions? i was thinking either 50% all around as the safe way, or 50% upfront and everywhere esle 40%(but dont know if that will look bad), or maybe 40% all around(but dont want to be stopped and forced to pay alot for fine and retinting.) any suggestions????

nope,i have the weopon R one and its metal. It looks great. But if u dont want an open air element filter inside ure hood just install the Weopon R intake but instead of putting on the cone just put ure stock airbox on. also AEM has a CAI for around 230 dollars on their website,that i have seen people have on lexuses online. You muight want to get that.

thanks!. umm to tell you the truth i dont. They say they are ultra high performance,BUT on the reviews they get the best numbers in snow traction! also it doesnt really matter too much b\c i THINK im gonna be putting on stock rims for winters.
