  1. SW03S, Yes, I'm pretty sure that Mark Levinson was married to Kim Cattrall. In an online article a while back the article states: "'It's just been so cold in New York,' says Cattrall, who lives there with hubby Mark Levinson, an audio electronic executive." (from: http://www.canoe.ca/JamMoviesArtistsC/cattrall_kim.html) Highly unlikely that her ex is also named Mark Levinson and is an audio electronic executive, don't you think? ;) Anywhoo, I got my RX330 '04 Lexus with a Navigation system without the ML system. I didn't want to spend the money; the stereo is the least important thing to me in a car.
  2. :P This is completely irelevant, but he was also, I believe, (until recently married to Kim Catrall of "s*x in the City."
  3. Hi, I saw this and thought you might find it useful. http://store.yahoo.com/parkplacelexus/lexpetdivfor.html I don't know how well it works since I've never used it, but you could call the seller and ask. The product description states, however, "Universal fit, accommodates any vehicle." Good luck! :)
  4. I recently purchased the '04 RX330 in November, and I absolutely love it. I have not noticed all the ticks and troubles that others have experienced with their RX330. There are only two issues that I have noticed; the headlights are adjusted too low to the ground, and I do notice a slight "lag" when trying to accelerate as experienced by others on this forum. There is, however, nothing that I personally have experienced with my car that would make me tell others to necessarily wait to purchase the '05 model. Of course it is your perrogative to wait until the '05 model comes out, and it's quite true that Lexus may resolve all the other "annoying" problems others have mentioned. It is, however, no guarantee that the new model will not have problems of its own. In other words, no car will ever be perfect. My suggestion is to test drive the RX330 a few more times to see if you love it enough to purchase it. If you don't love it, then wait. It is basically what quirks in the car you can accept/tolerate. I personally can live with some of the quirks of the RX330. Good luck! :D
  5. Hi, rx3002001, Thanks for your reply, but in the RX330, I am not sure I understand what screws to which you refer. My husband looked at the cargo net when it the net came in, and in the trunk area of the RX330, there are no visible screws. :( There are clamps on the "floor" section of the trunk but no screws or any means to securely attach the net without drillling on the side panels. We may have missed something but I'm pretty sure in the RX330, you have to drill into the panel. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it. :)
  6. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using the cargo net with the cargo bar that I see being advertised. I bought a genuine Lexus cargo net accessory but did not realize that holes had to be drilled into the side panels to attach fixtures. I really don't want to drill holes into the panels. I have seen the cargo bars that supposedly securely hold the cargo net in place using tension instead of any kind of fixtures, etc. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the cargo bar/net in their RX300.330. Thanks in advance.
  7. :o OH my goodness! I thought it was just my car. Although I've already made an appointment to take my car in to get the head lights adjusted, I'm glad I saw this. My husband and I thought the lights were just tilted a little too low. I noticed that in my previous cars, the headlight beams were about the level of the trunk or so. In my new RX 330, they point almost at the level of other cars' license plates. In the rain and sometimes at night, the degree of tilt of the headlights makes visibility difficult. Thanks for the good info. :)
  8. I am a relatively short person who cannot reach the roof of my Rx 330 while trying to wash it. I could stand on a ladder to reach the roof, but my reach is also not very far. Anyone have any item like an extended washing tool or any suggestions for me so that I can more easily clean the roof of my car? Thanks in advance. :D
  9. Hello, again, After reading this great forum, I went out and bought a California Water Blade. It really does work well. To make a long story short, I had a brain !Removed! and decided to use it on my car after just power washing it with high pressure water. I didn't want any water stains so I just used it VERY light on the body of the car. Well, after I used it on my windshield, I noticed something kind of sticky on both the windshield and the Blade. Luckily, I did the windshield last so I don't think I hurt the body of the car at all. I tried to take the gunk off the Blade by running it under water and washing it with my fingers. The gunk never quite got off the blade (I didn't use any detergent because I didn't know if any kind of detergent would damage the silicon on the Blade). What ever was left on my windshield didn't come off too easily either. I had to scrub with a brush and power wash my windshield. My question is... should I chuck the Blade and get a new one or can I use some kind of detergent like Dawn to try to get the gunk off and will detergent harm the silicon on the Blade? Thanks and please excuse the brain !Removed! of using the Blade without washing the car with soap. I know I made a boo boo. ;) I'll never do that again; I promise! :)
  10. :D Thanks again. I appreciate your help.
  11. ;) I'm quite the newbie on this forum so I'm not sure exactly what kind of wood kit you're talking about; i can only tell you that we had the wood trim put on our Lexus by the dealer and it only enhanced the appearance of our interior. I'm not sure if the wood kit you are speaking of is the real wood or the plastic imitation wood finish. My husband has a wood trim in his Acura which is not real wood but the imitation wood finish trim and it looks fine in his car. Personally speaking, as long as the kit whether it be wood or imitation wood is of good quality and looks nice, it probably will only enhance your car's appearance. I've even seen the imitation wood finish in a Kia and it looked ok, but again, it depends on what the wood or wood finish looks like. I would suggest that before you apply the kit, take a big piece and just lay it on a section of your interior and see if YOU like it. Ultimately, if you like it, then that's all that's important.
  12. I am soo confused now. I purchased the Poorboy Polish and the Poorboy EX based upon the readings I did on the forum. When exactly am I suppose to use the Collinite's #845 Insulator Wax? Am I supposed to wash, use the Collinite's #845 Insulator Wax, and then put the Poorboy EX on top? What about the Poorboy polish? D'oh and sorry in advance if this is stupid question. I just am clueless when it comes to all this stuff. Thanks.
  13. Hello, everyone, I am a new Lexus RX330 owner and just discovered this forum. I have spent some time looking through this forum, and I thought I saw somewhere someone mentioning NOT to wax in a circular motion but to wax in a straight line. All these years of washing and waxing a car, I have always used the "wax on," "wax off" motion ala Karate Kid. Now, I realize that I've been improperly waxing my car! Doh! My question is: when washing the car, should I also move in a linear motion or is it ok to apply the soap in a circular motion or does it matter? Thanks and sorry if this is somewhere else in the forum. I did a search and tried to re-read the forum, but could not find this answer. Thanks in advance. :)
