Same problem here/ Mine is flashing like this. Flash,,,,,Flash----Pause------ Flash,,,,,,Flash ???????????? I tried both suggestions as well and neither worked. -
How Do I Remove Trim To Replace Navication Unit?

You have to pull up on and remove the dash area surrounding the gear shifter. You will have to put the shifter in low gear to do so, so set your parking brake and turn your key. Next, you have to remove the climate control which just pulls out. There should be 4 bolts holding your CD player in. Remove the 4 bolts and then pull out. Two of the bolts are hard to see, you might want to have a flash light handy to see.
