Thanks1990LS400 and rx350guy! I'm concerned about the "upselling" of brake jobs! My RX350 is 2008 model so don't believe it has a brake wear sensors. Can you provide more details on how you use your wire coat hanger to measure the pads?

Just taken my RX350 for its 80k service and was offered the fuel injection clean option ($250). The service advisor said it should be done once every 100k, I went for it on the basis I typically fill up with Sams Club "cheap" gas. Is it worth it or a rip off? Anyone had and noticed a difference?

So my wife is driving a friend home in our '08 RX350 and stops outside her friend's house chatting. She turns the ignition off but not fully so only 1 or 2 notches but definitely not fully off. After 15 mins or so the car complete shuts off so there is no power at all and the car won't start. Its like the battery is completely dead. She ends up having to jump start it. When she gets home I take it out and its fine so can't believe it was the battery. The car had just been serviced and they had said the battery was fine. So I suspect it has something to do with not fully turning the car off and leaving it with the key turned 1 or 2 notches. Is there a protection mechanism on the basis it thinks the keys have been left in the car? Anyone had this before? Obviously I have told my wife about chatting and told her to leave the ignition fully off or leave the car running in future!

Just checking but can the hack be performed while driving? Or if I forget to do it when I start the car (stationary) will I have to stop the car again to do the above?

Now that winter has arrived for the Midwest - I ought to buy some snow wipers. Given the 2008 model is new anyone had any luck obtaining any compatible snow wipers? Or am I faced going to the dealer? Thanks.

I am looking to rent a UHaul trailer to attach to my RX350. I am getting the hitch installed at a local place the dealer recommended. I am probably looking to go for a 6' x 12' or a 5' x 10'. Has anyone had experience of renting a trailer from UHaul? What is the towing limit on the RX350? Any other things to look out for? Thanks!

No, Lexus dropped the ball on this one. try http://www.vaistech.com/ Has anyone fitted one on a 2008 RX350? Unfortunately it doesn't come with exact instructions for getting access to the head unit. Instead points to http://techinfo.toyota.com - anyone know the docs needed? Thanks!
