carbon fiber doors, what about CF'ing the whole car hey have you guys checked out GTP (they have another name but i forgot it) they make a whole bunch of CF parts for a good amount of cars out there. i saw CF trunk, CF hood, CF bumper (which doesnst look too bad i might add.) there were others i think , i just cant remember right now. seems pretty cool but alot of the things require "slight fitting adjustment" and we all know what that means :whistles:

what do you guys think about re-wrapping in vinyl? i've never felt it, but it sure as hell looks good on picture. when i get my SC, ill be sure to get some junkyard Supra seats, and re-wrap them. hey UCF3, could you give us a brief step by step of what you did. so i can get a clue of how the process works.

only car that the Supra tails look good on are Supras!! :chairshot: i like the clear corners' SC style tail light. and i kinda like this one "smoked" look on SC tails. i dont know where but i've seen it somewhere around the internet.

since you hate the factory runflats so much and to me it sounds like you cant wait 20-25k why dont you just sell your tires now while they're still basically brand new? and then use the left over money for some better tires. just a suggestion

A few years ago the California Vehicle Code was changed allowing one specific film to be applied to the front two doors of cars / trucks in California. The legal film is called LLumar UVShield. This film is a light (25%) tint that stops 99.9% of A and B UV from passing through it. It will also stop you from getting a tint ticket. The CHP and some local agencies are now writing the tint ticket as a $77.00 fine (no more fix it). With the legal UVShield you get a manufactures certificate that your car is legally tinted. www.ca.gov.dmv section 26780 last three paragraphs describes the legal film and the certificate required. theres a certain kind of tint, where it is legal ( in california, since we have strict rules, it shouldnt be illegal for you either) it comes with certificate and its UV protectant. vvery nice tint. ill post it up if i can find a link.

not to bash on your idea, but i think if everyone had an extra $4000, CF vertex doors for everyone :D yea there are a whole bunch of things to do. but has anybody weighed their components before. SouthernSC300 - nice idea about the deadening crap. are there aftermarket "sprays" that can replace the deadening at least by a good percentage? that would be a good weight mod to do. Supra seats are a must B) and backseats can be taken out or replaced (which is my preference, since i like to take people out instead of riding their car, i like to be in control ;p) and the titanium exahust is super smart. like the HKS Titanium(Supra Exauhst) w/ custom piping to fit SC needs. great ideas!

yea if you take those out and replace them with lighter components, thats about a 200lb savings right there. GREAT! keep em comin. and i could make a list if everyone puts in a fact or 2.

by now, pretty much everyone who owns or are interested in Sc's know that they're pigs. does anybody have information or can find information on what are the more "heavier" parts of the car? and what weighs how much. kind of like a weight chart. and how much certain aftermarket parts weigh. i think this would make a great sticky for those who are weight junkies and try to find every possible way to make their Sc's just a tad lighter. because even a little bit at a time, it adds up! B)

so you're looking for a sc-specific site that you can "distribute" to? this isnt sc-specific, but its close enough because the site deals with Toyota Supras (not Supra turbo, many people often get mistaken between the terms Supra and Supra turbo) www.non-turbo.com is the site that deals with N/A Supras. hope i helped? so BASICALLY, you need to know someone, that knows someone, that knows someone, that knows someone to pull this off :D if you suscribe to turbo magazine, they're doing a sc300 project and putting a 2jzgte/6spd getrag tranny for way less than the prize of the Supra turbo. i think they found their getrag for 1800(including the trade in price of a 5spd manual transmission)

you can easily take them off with any thin object, like a credit card, or even a library card. (dont ask me how i know :whistles: ) but make sure to be real careful if you do not want to break any one of the little legs. do emblems really go for 300 ? <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->
