  1. i never use my seat heaters :whistles:
  2. lets put our money together and build up an sc300 with 2jzgte =) then we could win the gumball for some sort of prize?
  3. i think entry fee is in the tens of thousands of dollars, it also is very expensive to travel that far, and its not really a competition, only some of the people who join take it seriously (some fat guy in a Mercedes wins it everytime) gumball 3000 looks fun as hell, i wish one day i could join but i will want to have lots and lots of money in my pocket before i can join it. and i also think most the participants are millionaires... ;)
  4. hmm i was thinking of getting this protective layer after i upgraded to 97 body. my question is, is maintenance as normal as regular paint? harder? easier? like washing the car, do you use auto soap, do you have to wax the car? will it harm your paint if you want to peel it off someday? seems like a lot of questions but im sure this will clear things up for many people...especially me :P
  5. i think it'll be better if you asked on the LS forums? :chairshot: :P
  6. so after messing up with the glue, you have any tips for us? i am probably going to do my tail lights, paint my headlights, lows, highs, fogs, and cornering and modify my sidemarkers when summer school is over. any advice would be much appreciated from people who are thinking of this mod.
  7. i've seen those on the more recent lexus models...and they're so sweet. anyway for us "seems like a car made in 2000, but not even close" Sc's to get these swapped?
  8. there is a DIY to get rid of the door chime, i forgot where i saw it though. just try to seach for it on yahoo or google. i think i saw it on planetsoarer.com
  9. contact Steve Ganz from Carson Toyota, i think he might know the right people to get you this kit. but i am not sure about this. i've just heard he can get almost any kit for our car out there.?
  10. there are 2 bolts that you have to take off from the inside of the wheel well, first you gotta unbolt the protective layer, then after removing that, you should be able to see the 2 bolts, you might need a socket extention to reach it if you have bigger hands. and also be sure you have the items needed ready to clean the headlights and have a new cornering bulb thats either clear or chrome thats ready to be fit into the side lights. good luck.!
  11. any sort of matireal that is heat resistant should do?
  12. you guys are so stupid :P you should just have some chrome shop, re-chrome the pieces for you, it shouldnt cost more than $100. :)
  13. try replacing your fuel filter, getting a tune up, your 02 sensor could be bad, try not to drive so "spiritedly" try to drive on the highway more to get where you need to get. thats all i can think of for now. check back with you later. see what these things can do for you.
  14. wow you live in SoCal? are you registered with ClubLexus? the SC crowd has been getting stronger in the past few weeks in showing up in meets.
  15. i take it, it cleans chrome? so if it doenst satisfy me with the headlights, i could use it to clean my wheels.
  16. do your lights look brand new right after cleaning? or you just noticed a "significant" difference, and yes..there is a difference. good find though, i might give this a shot on my semi-cloudy headlights. :D
  17. yea my wood has also faded a bit on my 95 Sc3, im thinking of converting it to blackwood, or a refined wood of the same type of color/design. who sells kits for our cars?
  18. so which kind of bulbs did you buy for sure? im not sure but i think the dash probably uses 194 wedge type bulb.
  19. my 1995 Sc300's gas needle also comes and goes. odd... <_<
  20. a friend of mine with the import fan CF hood says he has had 0 problems with it on his Sc400. i think the "BEST" CF hood would to have a shop that specializes with carbon fiber make you a custom one to fit your everyneed.
  21. scientifically a stock Supra twin turbo can reach 200mph. if you need to see proof i will gladly find it and post it up.
  22. you can only buy the short block of the 2jzgte, the long block is no longer in production. i hope that answered some of your questions. also, if you are looking for a cheap 2jzgte, look for the toyota aristo front clips. those are way cheaper than a usdm gte.
