I've decided to replace my run flats with conventional tires and need to get a spare. (2008 GS460). Talked to dealer bu they want to $355 for both. Any ideas on aftermarket or where to find a used one? All ideas appreciated.

My '06 430 had very poor reception, and my windows were tinted. The '08 460 does not have the same problem...will have to think about that before I get the windows done.

The manual for my '08 GS460 says I can raise all windows and close sunroof by pressing and holding the lock button on the door handle (vs. on the remote.) I've not been able to make this feature work. Has anyone tested it and successfully used the feature? Does anyone believe the lack of operation could be related to personal settings? It's a cool feature and I'd love to use, but I'm beginning to suspect it does not exist and is an error in the manual. Have not talked to dealer about it yet. Thanks in advance-

Yes, car was being driven by one of valets employed by the operator of the parking garage. He hit a concrete column in the garage while driving in reverse at somewhere between 20 and 30 mph. Hit another car along the way.

My 06 GS430 was smashed...possibly totaled by a garage parking attendant. All damage is in rear section but impact was enough to trigger left side curtain airbags and deform drivers seat. Appears there will be a battle with their insurance company. Attorney asked me to contact dealer and see how/if we can gain access to event data recorder that will contain speed, g force at impact, throttle position, etc. Dealer says they can't do it.....said "can't" vs. "wont". Has anyone had any experience trying to obtain this data? Any recommendations short of hiring a full electronics lab? Thanks in advance!

Sorry to ask, but before I go off and try this, has anyone successfully used these directions? I've seen some practical jokes on boards like in the past.

I've recently acquired a 2006 GS 430. The car has 2 leds centered on the instrument cluster housing generally below the speedo and tach. respectively. When the ignition is in the on position they flash alternately a couple of times then go out. Today the left one flashed, a chime rang a couple of times, then it went out. For the life of me, I can't figure out what it was telling me. I've scoured the book and find nothing documented, nor do these LED's show up in the diagram of the dash in the manual. I'm thinking it may be an after-market add-on courtesy of the original owner (and I don't know who that is unfortunately.) Can anyone venture a guess as to what cool gizmo my car has that I don't know about??? Thanks in advance for any help. Scott in VA PS- my seat didn't eject so I know that's not the answer.
