T Square, I just picked up my 95 ES300 (48,000 miles) from Toyota who wants $1135 to replace my Air conditioning Expansion valve and Receiver Dryer. As this amount represents probably half of the car's value, i paid the $189 diagnostic fee and drove home. The car's A/C blows cold initially when turned on but then becomes warm. Have you gone ahead with your repairs, if so, do you have any advice as to the difficulty of the job? Where are these parts located? Do you know the part numbers? Any advice is welcome. I hate to give up on such a nice car! Please share your experience.

Did you ever find the solution to your problem, if so, what was the fix? I have a 1995 ES 300 with 38K miles, really, and it has the exact same symptoms?

Did you ever find the solution to the problem, if so, what did you do to fix it? I have the exact same problem in my 95 ES 300 and am guessing it is caused by the starter solenoid contacts failing.

Help. My son just called and told me the button on the side of the transmission lever knob does not go in sufficiently and the car will not go into any gear. He is stuck in park. The car is a low mileage car. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am a new owner of a 1995 ES300 which is like new with only 25k miles. I really like the car but why do the headlights provide so little illumination? I have tried new bulbs (Sylvania Ultras) but there was no improvement whatsoever. The outside headlight clear plastic lense covers are still clear, like new, and the interior round lense appears lightly frosted white. I have shopped for new headlights on Ebay, but they seem no different than what is on the car now. The only solution that I can find listed in the Forums is to replace the bulbs and refinish the exterior clear plastic lense. Neither of these solutions seems appropriate. It seems to me that the small interior lenses should be replaced or cleaned? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Oh come on...someone at least give the proper name for the things so I can search. All I get is on how to take off/put on the inside panels to get to the window regulator. Give me a term and I'll search it! :cries: I found it listed on ebay listed as "Door Moulding," but have also been unable to locate the thread to remove them.
