  1. Why not get AVON and save a whole bunch of money? :whistles:
  2. I got the same dealership to quote me $40000 Out-The-Door (everything included) for IS350 (yes, Three Fitty) with the same options (NAV+XM). The sticker on it was around $43000, so about $47000 Out-The-Door. However, when it came to my trade-in value they went a little low, so no deal yet. Most other dealerships were able to match the price I was quoted once I showed them the email printout.
  3. Sounds like a balancing issue, but you took care of that already. However, I was experiencing somewhat similar issues with my BMW and it turned out to be a control arm. Have your car jacked up and the suspension components checked. Good luck!
  4. So, instead of $1300 on the spot, he pays $22x60 (presumably) = $1320 WOW!!! Somebody stop that guy - he is going to lose $20 over the next 5 years! :D
  5. IS350 w/ X-Package. BTW, when I inquired about the availability of the Sport Package, I was told it was 'discontinued' in 2007 - by all the dealers I spoke to about it...
  6. I, for one welcome that move. I have purchased an extended warranty with my 7-series BMW and it paid for itself within the first 6 months of ownership. Granted Toyota makes the most reliable cars in the world, there is still that off-chance that something might go wrong - however little it is in a Toyota product. You just got yourself some peace of mind. And $1300 is not that much to pay for it, in my opinion. I will definately consider buying extended warranty when it comes to purchasing an IS.
  7. I don't understand why the manufacturer should fix the damages caused by a traffic accident. It's the insurance company's responsibility.
  8. I thought I read in Car & Driver that Charger SRT-8 did 0-60 in around 4.8s...
  9. This one looks nice. Any idea how much an install job would run?
  10. Yes, and update would be much appreciated. Can someone clearify this for me: Without using any other adapters, how does one control an iPod connected through AUX input? And what do you see on the screen when AUX source is selected? Can you change tracks using the steering-mounted audio controls? Thanks!
  11. Congradulations on the purchase! I'm sure you will love this car!
  12. Heh, I'm in the same boat (well, sort of). I'd like to have the X-package, but I do like the stock 18s better...
  13. I'm in the same boat. BMWs (pre-Bangle) are terrific driving vehicles. E36 and E46 were perhaps the best driving ones of them all. I love my E38. However, keeping it running is quickly outweighhing the benefits of having such a 'pimp' (:D) ride. The only reason I don't drive an IS350 yet is that right now it's a little bit of a stretch for me financially. As soon as I can afford it, I will get it. Good luck to you and make sure you buy below 'invoice'!
  14. Horrible, simply horrible deal! I was quoted $40,000.00 Out-The-Door for a car that was identical, minus the X-Package (around $1100 or so). The car price would be $36,500.00 and some change. You should not be paying more than $41500 Out-The-Door for your car. If I can get that kind of a deal in freakin' Southern California, you sure as heck should be able to do at least the same in Colorado! And remember, invoice doesn't mean squat. If the dealer tells you they get the car at invoice, they are flat-out lying you in the face. There is a special, DEALER PRICING and it is posted in this section of the forum. Use it to negotiate and don't settle for anything less than $1000 or so below the 'invoice'. Good luck and...don't buy at this price!
  15. You are correct. You can get an IS350 with Premium Package+NAV+XM+Spoiler for $40,000.00 out the door, which would be a little over $36,500.00 or so.
  16. I think this car looks great. Although I personally prefer the 'regular' 18" wheel design, I gotta admit, I am now thinking of X-package. I would go with Silver/Black.
  17. I was quoted $500 over invoice by Kearny Mesa Lexus (Penske) in San Diego. It would have worked out to $38500 for the IS350 with Luxury Plus, NAV, XM and parking sensors. $37400 sounds like a good deal too, if you're not after certain package options, I guess.
  18. Great choice! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I might follow suit...in a year or so :)
  19. I thought Acura TL had a smaller engine (than the IS350) ;) Or does TL Type-S have a 3.5 now (which, BTW is still not bigger than the 3.5 in the IS)
  20. I'd go with the IS350, no doubt. Faster, sportier and Rear Wheel Drive. 'Nuff said :)
  21. Obviously you don't want to go fast! "You don't drive with your eyes...you gotta feel the road" - Reese Bobby "Talladega Nights"
  22. I just test drove an IS350 over the weekend and can compare it to my 740i Sport and my co-worker's 335iA E90. In short, no the IS is not as good in terms of pure 'handling' as the BMWs I drove. The steering is a bit light and the steering feel is somewhat artificial. Tires have plenty of grip, but in the BMW you can tell where the limits are and in the IS you have to rely on the stability control (which is really advanced, by the way). BMWs seem a bit more balanced and fun-to-drive oriented. Lexus however would be my preference still. My 7-series is getting old and it is also getting 15mpg. 335i is hideous outside and plain cheap and unsatisfying inside. IS350 offers superb dynamics and the designers did a superb job on the exterior and the interior is top-notch. Features and amenities are aplenty. Everything (except for the interior door handles) has expensive touch to it. Even the standard sound system is head-and-shoulders better than my 'premium' sound in the 740i, not to mention 3-series' sub-par sound. So, yes while in regards to pure road-hugging-wheel-gripping-tire-squeeling fun Lexus IS lags behind the BMWs, it makes up a lot of ground elsewhere.
  23. You are absolutely correct, sir (ma'am?)! My 740 needs to have the front wheels cleaned a day or two after a carwash. The only solution is ceramic pads, but apparently they are noisy.
