  2. Did it myself. It took about 12-15 hours. My first time doing upholstery. I think you could take it to a pro as well. The seat kit was about $780 shipped, front and back seats with custom inserts and contrasting stitching. It was actually fun. I'm near Chicago in Park Ridge, if you need help or info, let me know. Awesome thanks for the advice. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been extremely busy and actually forgot about that question that I asked. What company did you purchase the leather from? I might take you up on your offer of needing help because I have never done upholstery before and have not a clue on what to do. Thanks again. Metramm
  3. How much did you get that done for? and where did you get it done? I have a split in my driver's side seat that I want to get fixed but I don't know where to take it to get it done. Thanks for the input! Metramm

People were mentioning to install a "Dragon" torque converter from Japan. You might lose a little off the top end but the take offs will be super fast. Ill see if I can find the post for you to add to this thread. Oh, I got my 1993 SC300 to 120. I'm being a wimp with it but I got 4 speeding tickets (not with this car) and I don't want to get any more. Hey DomLee.. do you by any chance feel the SC is really really slow during take off?.. cuzz i have a 1992 SC 300 5spd and its a dogg.. i feel the same as you after 100.. feels like it has nothing left, and during take off, it tops out so fast in first gear.. Let me know. Thanks
  6. Yes when I drive around for a while the window kinda slips down a little into the window. Maybe like an inch or so. Just enough to let rain in if I don't catch it right away!! So everytime I get out of my car I have to go to the passenger side and pull the window back up so it makes a good seal in the door. I found a shop that I'm going to have do it most likey. I'm having them change the timing belt and water pump for me so I think I'm just going to have him change it for me. Thank you so much for your help on this issue. Metramm
  7. Hello, I just bought an SC 300 and I need to replace the passenger side window regulator. I'm having some difficulty removing the door panel to get to the regulator. I was wondering if you could possibly tell me the locations of the screws/clips that I need to remove in order to get the door panel off. If you have any pics also that would be extremely helpful. Thank you very much for your time this afternoon and I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. metramm
  8. Hello, I have the same problem with my sc 300. I have a bad window regulator that I just purchased. I was wondering if you could sorta walk me though removing the door panel. I'm having difficulty removing it to get to the actual regulator. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much! metramm
  9. When I purchased the regulator Lexus asked me if I needed the motor assembly with it, and I told them no because the motor is working fine. Do I still need to replace the motor if it is working fine? I was able to purchase just the window regulator the passenger side without the motor attached. Also, I'm having a bit of a trouble removing the door panel. I can't seem to locate any screws for removing the panel. Is the panel just held on by clips or are the screws hidden behind the trim (like behind the trim of the door handle for instance). Thanks. metramm
  10. Hello. I'm brand new to the the Lexus owners club. I just recently bought my first lexus. It's a 1993 SC 300 with 91,000 on it. The only problem is that it came with a few problems. The trunk struts are bad so I keep getting hit in the head and the passenger side window regulator is bad. I'm replacing the struts today (one nice day outside to do it too! :) Neways, I don't really want to take it to a shop to replace the regulator so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in doing this and could possibly help me through the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love my car and I will take it to a shop to have it done right I'm just trying to save the 200 or so from the cost of the repair shop tearing my door apart. Thanks. metramm
