I have a similar problem. With the AC on, the passenger side is not as cold as the drivers side. I have the temperture set the same for both.

After much research, I went with the Amsoil air and oil filter and Amsoil oil.

I just changed mine to Amsoil. Made a difference in the shifting smoothness. I also use Amsoil in rear end and powersteering. Obviously for motor oil also.
