4K???!! Go online and look up your local salvage yards if your going to replace the door. I see them for anywhere between $150-$600. You might even get lucky and find the door in your color. and even if you took that in for repair, (provided the door is repairable) it shouldn't be more than $1,200.00 But that would be with all new parts, sheet work, and paint.

Yeah, that's not as bad as it looks. Although where the metal creased on the edge might be an obstacle to deal with. It's hard to judge from a pic. So the door opens and closes ok? the hinges aren't bent or anything like that? What lifting problem are you talking about?

Filing for bankruptcy and reorganizing with a new competitive plan is the only real solution here. Chrysler really only wanted the money to spruce up the line and make it more marketable to sell the company off. GM is in the most trouble though. They are going down fast and probably are not very viable in the near future market. GM needs to think 5-10 years from now. They need to sell off everything and cut the union contracts out, and almost start all over again as just GM and Chevy. Ford will struggle, but they did have alot better sales with the F150, Mustang, and some foriegn models, not to mention Mazda has been doing alright for them over the years, as opposed to Land Rover and Jaguar. Volvo has a good history, but volume is way down also. There are things that come to mind when I think about all this. Like what really happened? Remember when Ford battled head to head with the Taurus against the Camary and the Accord? It was like Ford just gave up in the mid to late 90's and started going in this strange direction, despite Toyota and Honda having more and more success. Chevy hasn't made a well designed, nice looking, sedan, let alone "sport" sedan since the Nova in the late 70's! And if you were to take away fleet sales from all the american car mfgrs, we would then see the real sales numbers. If it hadn't been for the SUV market going nuts, all 3 would have sunk years ago! I don't see anything else in thier line up that even remotely interests me. The new Camaro? The Mustang, the new Challenger, they are cool cars, but when I look across the market and I see BMW 3 series, the MB C class, Lexus, Infinity, Acura, Audi, Saab and Volvo. All priced in the $36-50K range, not a single american made contender. In the $18-36K range you have Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Cooper, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Subaru, Hyundai, and Kia. I can't think of a single american made vehicle that truly competes with any of these. The all new Malibu? maybe.........the Fusion?.......MKS?...........that's the best they can do? It's almost like the Ford, Chrysler and GM are saying, "ok, you don't want to buy our cars? then just give us your money anyway.

Bet the tire replacement costs alone are thru the roof! I dig the car though, just don't know about the tire configuration thing they have going on. And the only onther thing I see is that I'm not really crazy about laying down on my back to drive. Unless those tires track things are much bigger than the pic eludes.

Very nice! Now that's some driving! Love the shift lock drift turn and the clutch kick drift he stomps on going into the blocks. What he is doing in that video is what I think drift competitions will eventually turn into, mixed with time attacks. Nice vid find!

I've been around long enouph to know that with enouph money anything can be done. The question is how much? And have all the obstacles been dealt with? Or is there some issues that are just "Jerry Rigged" to work?Like once the car is started via the remote, does the car shut off when I open the door? Do I have to shut the car off and restart the car with the start button now? Will the car run with out the key fob? The car stays locked? Do you now have to use another remote to unlock/lock the car? the keyless fob doesn't interfere at all? what remote start system are you using? Do you have to bypass the stock security system?

Does it still lock input up when the car is moving?

Like this: Yeah, see yours looks great with the black Volk's. The polished face of the caliper shows up great with black. But I have Work polished rims coming in, so I don't know how the polished caliper face would look behind the rims. So I went with the red until my rims come in and then decide afterwards. ( I told you I might swipe your design for those! ;) ) But after I did the red again, I'm really thinking this what I want and will just stick with the red. the Obsidian Black just looks so good sitting on those red calipers. @re*BLEEP*hen7, thanks.
