Uuhhh, Rya, I think you scared him off.
  3. Yeah, I knew it..... You should have hung water Balloons around in there too. ( Those unsuspecting friends..) ;)
  4. If your gonna get an Escort, get the 9500i with the new GPS tech. Retails for about 450.00 bucks, but for a contained unit it's the best one out there. And of course theres the Bell RX75 Pro. That's a thousand bucks though. Which of course is the one I want.
  5. I love Jagermiester coooolllllddddd, straight shot.
  6. Yeah, I kinda let the guy talk me into the Bridgestones last time. They were descent at first, but now I think they'er crap. I have to say though, Not that I'm endorsing a company or anything, the place I went to for tires is giving me full credit of the purchase price of the Bridgestones to apply to the new Pilots. I put about 2,000 miles on the Bridgestones. All I told them was that I just wasn't happy with these tires. I was very surprised when he said what they are going to do. They aren't even charging labor. Just the price difference of the tires. I think they just earned a repeat customer..... So you really like the Pilot's huh? Cool. That's nice to hear. I was wondering about the life of the tire. thanks DC.
  7. I have switched all my accessory lighting over to LED's now also. Looks very cool!! I changed the dome light to a 12 bulb LED, and the license plate lights to 6 bulb LED's. ( Now they match the HID look back there!!) The trunk light is a 12 bulb LED, and the all I have left to do is the map light. ( I need to figure out how that all come apart without breaking it.) The LED's look awsome !! I went with white LED's. And yes, they are way bright enouph. Now I want to do the dash with white LED's also. But I need to keep studying first. Apperently it's not just an easy switch over. You have to have the correct load resistor for each different color, like red LED's require a different load resistor than white LED's. So, that may be why Parking 17 can only run them at 80%. I'll get it figured out.
  8. Okay, this problem has been solved. I am going to switch over to the Michelin Pilots. They will be here in a few days. So I'll post the results then.
  9. this also depends on how far you want to go with the exhaust. Are you talking about a header, down pipe and full exhaust? Or a cat back system? If I were you, I would go the modifications forum and read up. There are so many exhaust systems, and combinations out there, and depending on what you want exactly, it's hard to say. Also alot will depend on how much performance gains your looking for, and what you think is loud. I have heard some loud systems that produced a lower tone, so you didn't mind it at all. In fact, for as loud as it was, it sounded great. And the guy changed his mind about not wanting loud. Not really. Just like most other things, you get what you pay for. The SRT costs so much because it comes with a piggy back performace ship for the ECU. The rest are just CAI's. You might want to research more though first before buying a CAI for this car. It sacrifices some power off the line for a bit more after 3000 rpm's. Most people end up not liking the CAI on this car. I take it you mean what do performance headers do? They generally help with producing torque. The length of the header pipe is tuned to the exhaust valves. This sound wave helps evacuate the exhaust gases from the cylinder while being able to maintain some back pressure. Also, some better materials keep the header cooler while in operation, so you get better longevity of the motor, especially if your running forced induction. There is alot of debate about headers though.
  10. This is a pretty common question in here. So I'll tell it to ya like this. The more the performance gain, the louder the exhaust. I have yet to hear a dyno proven 20 hp gain exhaust system that sounds like stock. So, you have to decide what performance gain you can stand to listen to. The Apexi N1 I heard was an a Honda Accord SE. At idle it was descent. Say if on a scale of 1-10, stock is a 1, then the Apexi sounded like a 2, maybe 2 1/2. And under normal throttle, if stock was a 2, then I would say it was a 3, maybe 4. But when he got "on" it, if stock was a 3, the Apexi was a 6. Remember, this was on a Honda, and I think he had headers on it also.
  11. Ok, this may sound "in left field" but it's usually what ends up fixing it for some. With the side of your fist try whacking it where there are no buttons to mess up a few times. Hit it pretty hard a few times. See if that will set the load mech. free. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to pull the unit out, and remove the housing and see if you can get in there and free it up like that. If it ends up that it's broken, ( needs replacement parts.) I have a stock 6 disc changer out of an 05' that I can sell ya if you really want to stay with the stock unit. I think Bartkat sells new and used ones also.
  12. Do you mean you did a search here on LOC? or like a Google search engine? If your looking here I would go to the electronics/ stereo forum and search there. Sounds like you have a jammed CD player. I don't know that this means there is a CD stuck in there. Go to the electonics/audio forum. You can either page through until you find someone who has delt with your issue, or you can search by using the search feature at the bottom of the page there. By the way, many, many, many people have had issues with the Lexus CD changers. It was a well known problem. Unfortunately, the only real fix I have seen work the best is to replace it with an aftermarket unit as a used changer sells for 300-400 bucks and doesn't guaranty that the problem won't happen again.
  13. You're kind of asking a trick question here. If you want to know if that down pipe will fit your stock system, I don't see any reason why not. But when ever you mix new exhaust parts with used ones, your gonna have to do some modifying. All the sections of your exhaust have expanded and contracted, shifted and slightly bent to fit tight when it was put together new. So, especially a mid section pipe, will not just bolt in. Also, if your thinkin that you will get a 10-16 hp increase by using this down pipe alone, well, , I don't think so. You'll definately need to finish the exhaust system from the down pipe to the back to see any gains worth the trouble.

  18. Okay, go here: http://www.l-tunedparts.com/index.php Click on IS 300, 2002-2005, then go to aerodynamics/ exterior. It's the second selection. I think it's around 7 or 8 hundred for the front bumper. I think the fog lights are right there also.

  20. Ok, have you looked in the fuse box under the hood, next to the engine? Maybe some moisture is getting in there and messing with it. If that looks good, then you'll have to look along the fire wall and see if you can find were the wires and moisture are coming into contact. If you say when it rains is when the problem arises. As for the rest of the lights, you either have some burned out LED's or a bad fuse. ( LED lights require such a small amount of electricity, I doubt very much the DVD player was connected that circuit. It would have to be before the load resistor, and then it wouldn't matter anyway, as the resistor would reduce the voltage and wattage anyway. But I think you may just have a bad LED. The fuse would effect more than just one.
  21. Nice choices, I would replace the cab with Jordan 1993, Love Ruffino Classico. I cheffed in Italian Restaurante's for 20 years. Very cool!!!!! My papa was an Italian chef also. He owned a restaurant and retired, but allways did all the cooking, while mama stayed out of the kitchen!!! It was soo much fun just to go in there and watch him cook. I could go on and on about that. Anyway,I remember my dad and papa teaching me to appreciate the wines, and how too. My dad and my papa would debate years and selections. What a great memory. thanks guys.... :)

  23. I like Fresca and orange juice. But when I'm in the mood, Chianti = Ruffino Classico Merlot = Biso ( One of my favorites) Cabernet Sauvignon = Robert Mondavi Reserve ( expensive but really good!) I'm not a big white wine drinker, but; Pinot Grigio = Villinova Sauvignon Blanc = ( I really don't have a taste for this. Much too dry for me.) Chardonney = Biso But my all time favorite is Greco di Tufo Terradora from Compania, Italy. I also like Macallan 18 year Malt Scotch, but only with my dad.
