Iv'e actually heard of that problem before. they said it was the "glues" used in the ABS air ducts were routed to close to the fire wall. When the motor gets warm it turns the glue to a gummy vapor, which is why you get that smell. I thought they had a TSB out on that problem, and the answer was to move the lower air ducts away and wrap them in a heat sheild blanket or something. Anyway, Ford is trying to dump Jaguar because sales just plane suck. Their whole future seems to rest on 1 or 2 new models coming out. It's really to bad. They are nice looking,( Not my taste), but atleast they break out of the homogenized mold of car design. Welcome to the LOC btw. Atleast you traded it in for one of the best......

I don't know about the service manual listing, but I'm sure if you can isolate each pully and figure out which one is the cause of the hang up then You'll be home free in fixing it. Or maybe do a mass clean and lube of all of them. USe compressed air and blow out all the old crap you can. Then relube them. I wouldn't use wd-40. I would use a bearing grease or something with a little more staying power.

Sorry about that. I can get carried away sometimes and I don't allways find a way to describe what I mean. Yeah, that paint will work just fine. It's gonna look good!!!!!!!! Seafoam is a pretroleum detergent. what do you want to do? I give this advise to all my friends, customers and so on. Don't put anything in your engine that you don't have to. It's most of the time a waste of money. Here's a good tip for ya. Fill your car up at a Chevron, Conoco, Phillips 66, or Shell gas stations only. Why? Because they are the only oil companies to achieve "Top Tier" fuel ratings. This "top tier" rating was established by BMW, GM, Honda, and Toyota. It's the "next" gen. of fuel, and they follow a much higher standard for detergent and fuel quality. Then for oil drain the commercial stuff and get Amsoil, or Royal Purple. ( Amsoil is the best in my opinion.) All synthetic oils are not alike. At the race track I have had to learn some hard lessons, even embarrasing ones. Nobody runs off the shelf oils at the tracks. So the money you would waste on additives and cleaners, you could spend on quality fluids and come out way better.

this could be any number of issues. Without an ODB diagnostic, there arent many answers you will find here. I would take the car in and find out what's going on. From here, it sounds like a bad sensor. But it could be a dozen other issues send the incorrect info.

Well, as I said in one of my previous posts, I was researching and putting together a few things with the extra time I have. So, I have ordered these and everything is either already here or on it's way: I have decided and ordered today: The Tanabe Madallion Hyper Race exhaust system. The PLX Wideband M-300 system monitor Stewart Warner boost gauge Walbro 255 Fuel pump Then next I'm going to add a transmission cooler, and upgrade the torque converter. Oh boy,,,,,things are getting exciting now!!!! And just for the record, I will have all this done within the next 45 days. I put that up here so everyone watching has to hold me to it.!!!! I'm counting on you. But tuning is exempt from that time table. I mean, I will be tuning it, it just may not be completely dialed in by then. --------------And yes, there will be plenty of pics. This is going to be one-bad-boy-ride!!!!! Everyone has to help me out and hope for good dyno numbers when we get to the end ok? We are hoping for 325+rwhp, but not more than 380 rwhp. If I decide to go more than 400+rwhp, then I have to upgrade the tranny, and the rest of the drive train also. And, I promised myself not again. Everytime i start modding a car, I go wayyyyy toooo far and it becomes a track ready racer with no streetability. I just want a car that is fast enouph stomp some 350Z's, mustangs, and even the new IS 350's. ( Oh won't that be a surprise?) And then be able to go home quietly.
