  1. I will certainly look to see if I have a headunit for you B) Probably ;) Thank you, minds of the fritz. Speaker balance is all over the place and the garage has diagnosed it to the head unit.....
  2. I need a Radio head unit for my 1999 Lexus GS400 Nakamichi... Can some one sell me one please?
  3. Well I know what I would be doing, if both cars check out good and they are close in price I would buy the GS430, you get the V8 4.3 L with 300 HP, and they aren't that much different in fuel costs. Both cars are great vehicles but I like my power. The other thing is that the GS430 might come with bigger wheels and tires depending on factory options ordered when new. The GS430 should have the trunk spoiler, some GS300 have them as well. The GS430 will have a couple of different options inside as well. Overall your buying a great car which ever one you purchase. Good luck with your purchase. My 2 cents.... Dave
  4. I get squeaks or rattles from my sunroof, but it's the privacy blocker part that you can slide closed. If it isn't sitting just right it rattles. Check your front struts but you should be able to tell if they are going if the car is starting to get more bouncer, or if you can pull a wheel and see if there is any dampness from the strut leaking. Just a few idea's that don;t cost you anything but time..... Dave
  5. What type of tires did you buy and how much air pressure is in the tires? I know my GS4 was really rough and noisy with Bridgestone's on it. Just my 2 cents..... Dave
  6. I run WS-50's on my GS400 they are awesome tires in the winter. I have had them now for 3 years and they are still like new. Amazing grip on ice or snow. The car handles better than my SUV in the winter time. Good luck with your purchase. Dave
  7. I just changed my lower Ball Joints at 101,000 miles. My upper's are still nice and tight. Dave
  8. Yes mine 1999 GS400 does this as well, remote locks and unlocks all other doors except for the drivers.(weird) I stop in at Lexus to have them tell me what it is, with a quick look they said it's the lock actuator, they said roughly $400 plus for the part in the drivers door and about 1 1/2 hours in labour. For that price I will live with it for a little longer. Dave
  9. Wow those numbers so low for a GS300 6 cylinder, I thought they would do better be a smaller engine. My GS400 get 400 plus miles to a tank on the highway, at 65-70 mph. I think in the city it considerably less because I drive more aggressive. Just my 2 cents.... Dave
  10. I changed mine at 75,000 but that was earlier according to Lexus, but I'm a maintenance freak.... I didn't pay that much for mine. I think the total bill was like $700 for labour and parts. I think Lexus states 100,000 miles it needs to be changed. Dave
  11. No I went with slotted rotors. I find that the cross drilled rotors crack to easy, maybe it just the colder climate up here. Dave
  12. Unless the pads and rotors are special for the GS400, $600 is steep. I replaced my rotors and pads on my '98 ES300 for $300 out the door. I did the replacement myself. Peace of Cake to change. $200 for rotors and $100 for pads. Did you buy Brembo rotors and hawk pads or just the cheap stuff? I could have gone cheaper if wanted but I like having good brakes.
  13. Why pay Lexus huge $$$$ for labour? I just did my brakes in my GS400 all 4 rotors, and pads for around $600. I bought Brembo rotors, and Hawk street pads. The brakes are easy to change all you really need is a jack some stands and a 17 mm wrench or socket and a c clamp. I did mine in about 1 1/2 hours. Check TireRack for pricing they have decent pricing on brakes. Just my 2 cents...... Dave
  14. Yes I win the slowest, I knew my Lawnmower would win me something other than the best yard award. LOL Dave
  15. I know on some cars the seat belts are also sensored to the airbag light. If you clean the sensors in the seatbelt (female end) that might work to. Like I said I'm not sure if Lexus is equipped like this or not, but at least you'll have clean seatbelt. Dave
