My 1998 GS400 with standard OE radio now has a fading LED display. The display is 95% faded out so I can't see the stations. Is there a fix for this problem?
[/quote] Harness Repair
Hi
I Have a 2001 GS300 I couldn't read the Radio illustration because the Green LEDs has blown out on one side of my Radio and the instrument panel, so I took it to aftermarket Replacement specialist at http://www.harnessrepair.com it was $75.00 to replace the three LEDs that had blownout so I ask how much to replace all of the LEDs , the total cost was $125.00 and he change the color of the LEDS from Green to blue for no extra charge.
good luck.

I had a similar problem with my Lexus GS 300 radio light fading out especially when driving at night it was a nuisance , I found a Radio Service online Wireman1.com that fix the problem for less then the dealer price. The cost for my Lexus Radio was $125.00 which was good for me since I needed to get this done.
Good luck
