  1. if you just want to replace the bulb, just twist off the dust cap and replace the bulb. the housing doesnt have to be removed for that. but if you want to remove the entire assembly, on each side of the lamp, on the back, there is a screw with a nut. remove both nuts, the screw is permanently attached to the whole assembly. once both nuts are removed, push the entire light out, towards the front of the vehicle. it should come off pretty easily. dont forget to disconnect the plugs for the fog lamp and turn signals. ive done this before and its pretty simple.
  2. i just used some aircraft remover (picked it up at walmart) and a firm toothbrush. worked like a charm with no scratches.
  3. yeah the motor that controls the tilt function has a TSB (technical service bulletin) on it for failing. mine doesnt work all the time either and sometimes makes weird noises. i think to replace the motor is very expensive and not worth it. i havee read of people disabling it completely.
  4. whoa man. seems like you're the only lexus owner here that's rude. if you want an answer, lose the attitude and have some patience. not everyone has time to visit the forum constantly to respond to your posts. now for your answer: you can manually lower and higher the suspension, but it will automatically return to "N" when your speed goes above, im not sure about this, but i think its around 10 mph. it will return to normal even if you put it into "L"and then turn the AHC off. the only way to get around this is to buy an aftermarket AHC controller that you will need to wire in, such as this (scroll down to AHC controller). but you will need to pull up the trim surrounding the shift lever and then wire it in. after that you will need to find a place to mount the switch, as this controller is controlled by a switch. you can wire the switch in the empty button slot next to wear the rear defroster switch is (that's how it is in the 98). but like i said this is involved and may not be the best idea if you do not know much about this.
  5. I should be able to get one for you, I'm looking into it now. you know, i just remembered that i see a lot people selling cd changes on ebay. check there.
  6. Yes, the 6-DVD/CD changer for the levinson audio goes inside the center console box. Make sure your navi unit is still under the front passenger seat! I find it hard to believe a replacement is $4.6K. I think the entire DVD navi unit in the center cluster (the screen) is $5K. if that is really the price i would just buy an aftermarket changer. you can get a decent one for a few hundred bucks.
  7. Try another Lexus dealer or speak to someone else. I had the same problem on my 99 LX. It was under warranty when the clips broke. They replaced them. They were different clips (updated version) but fit into the existing area. No new console. look on ebay and search for lx470 cupholder. i always see those butterfly pieces on there for like $20.
