  1. looking to put my 10" alpine(bandpass box) w/ amp in my is250 also. not quite sure how to wire this up with the stock system (have NAV, no ML audio). if anyone knows how or knows of a write-up on this please let me know. thanks!
  2. check out my post on here, there's some pics of mine. i have the black saphire pearl is250 w/ sterling interior and i love it
  3. I work for Toyota Motor sales down in the Boston Parts Center (Mansfield). Great lease program that includes insurance and maintenance, with no money down. The MSRP on mine was over 38 (HID/NAV, no full Luxury Package).
  4. I would think that if you put a cold air intake (i think injen makes one for the IS 250/350) and/or a cat-back you could get somewhere between 10-20 horsepower (if you do both, more obviously). I haven't seen any dynos for this car specifically though, so I'm not sure. I'm new to the forum, but you might want to try searching for intakes/exhaust/modifications and see what you find.
  5. try ebay, or go to a lexus dealer to order the lexus logo, or "badge" as it is called. it should just peel and stick on, or you might have to heat it (with a hair dryer) to get it sticky and then stick it on. I took the badges off of my old sentra spec-v with a hair dryer, just be careful!
  6. all in due time :) i have the sterling interior, looks pretty nice. i wanted the black/mettalic trim instead of the wood, but it was a long wait to special order it for some reason, so i just got it w/ the wood.
  7. Just picked up my 2007 IS 250 awd earlier this week, and I love it! Here's some pics.. (Boston in the background)
  8. You would lose to the STI in my opinion, unless he doesn't get a good start. It's probably a couple of hundred pounds or so lighter because of the luxury features of the IS (picture having an above average size guy sitting next to you if the cars weighed the same, this would slow you down quite a bit). The IS engine might produce a few more HP, but the STI was meant more for speed, and the IS is still a luxury car. Your only shot would be if he spins his tires at the start, or is a bad shifter. Please do it safely and on a track too, if you are going to do it. Good luck, but I wouldn't expect to win (especially if his car has been modified).
  9. You could probably go a little longer.. 15,000 just to get you in more often and make more money if you ask me. I don't think you'll realize a difference by switching to a K&N filter, though it might be a little less restrictive than an oem air filter. The only way you would notice a difference is if you were to install a Cold Air Intake of some sort. An upside to the K&N, though, is they can be "recharged," or cleaned, for less than buying a new filter, so in the long run could actually save you money. Also these are simple to change yourself, so don't pay the dealership to do it.
