  2. Would like some help if you guys know how to do this. I have cut CDs with mp3 songs on it and my car recognises the songs and plays them. The same goes for normal DVDs with video. However, I tried cutting mp3 songs to a DVD but my car would not recognise it. When I press the audio button, it usually shows the 6 CDs or DVDs (depending on what you put into each) but when I put in a DVD-RW with mp3 songs on it, it is blank. Has anyone managed to get the car to play mp3 songs written on a DVD-RW? If so, what format do you use? I have tried wma, mp3, ac3 ect but to no effect. The car still cannot read it. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
  3. I agree that your dealer can turn it off for you. After some persuasion, he managed to turn it off - you have a choice of turning off either the driver seat, passenger seat or both.... The seat belt light still flashes but the sound is muted...
  4. Interesting, I looked around and you're right. The general consensus though is that the noise is coming from the direct injectors...which don't exist. Oh well, back to the drawing board. ------------------- I asked my Lexus dealer about this and they told me that this is because Lexus has changed the timing belt. The older lexus cars used timing belts that you had to change but the newer ones use a different material - more lasting but noiser... I have no idea but it seems to make sense...
  5. Do not turn the bass up too much in the ML system - I played some hip hop tunes and it busted my rear woofer. Sound level 35, bass (2nd bar from right)... Lexus were nice enough to replace it free of charge though.....but I had to wait some time for parts. BTW, if your rear woofer busts, it causes a rattle at the back as well....
