I checked out a few places around the bay area, Putnam, Coliseum, Pleasanton, Concord...and was pretty disappointed. Couldn't get them to lower the price and weren't much selections to choose from either. So I decided to drive down to LA and went to Longo and Glendale. Longo was not accomadating about lowering. Then there was Glendale-friendly service, large selections, and they took down 3000 immediately! It was my first time buying a vehicle and they did everything to help me. Nevertheless, I noticed that both places I've gone in So-Cal had better deals than the 4 places in the bay area.

Are the scratches that deep to need a repaint? The clear coat on the IS is really soft and scratches very easily, but most will probably plish out with a swirl buster polish like the one marketed by Sonus. You'll need a polisher though..Porter Cable or better...have a look at the Autopia site. Wow thanks! I'll check it out. Nope, the scratches are not that deep, just the surface of the clear coat. Hopefully I won't F up when I polish it...

Yes, I was wondering about this too and asked the dealer, who had no idea of how to figure this out. Eventually, I found the needle on the lower left hand side below the odometer. There are two trip options.

Got my IS350 a month ago. I park outside and the car has been a bit dirty. Without thinking, I selected "yes" to the car wash offer from the Shell station. The next day, I realized that the coating is pretty much scartched! Lots of scratches, especially the hood. The color is SGM so its not that much visible. Am I F*%ed? Or are they anti-scartch applicants for this? Is it worth repainting?

I average about 20 mpg. I think there is something wrong with your engine. Take it to another dealer to get it tested.

Thanks for the input! I ended up getting the luxury package with the navi/mark levinson. It is a sweet ride! Although, I question the transmission; begins to rev up to more than 3000 rpm while going downhill? didn't happen in the other cars I've driven. Nonetheless, very smooth.

I am going to get an IS350 this weekend. I want the Navi and Mark Levinson. Would just like an input and what package did other IS owners got with the options I want. Have been debating whether to just get them as add-ons or package. Just want to see what most people get as well. Any suggestion and info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
