  1. The stock wheels on my '95 SC300 are 16x6.5 with a 50mm offset...
  2. I had them for about a year but I believe they were a new item when I got them, came in a pack of three sizes... I use the socket made for spark plugs(with the rubber) also...
  3. I have Craftmen extentions that lock the socket on it like the ratchet ratchet does... You have to slide a little switch to put on and release the socket... Perfect for spark plugs...
  4. It feels faster all around but I definately notice a difference in third gear, it pulls alot stronger, third gear used to drag more... I ran 15.9@87mph completely stock with bald Goodyear GT+4's that would not hook up and 110000 miles on the spark plugs and original clutch... I should have my Tein's today(Friday) and a new clutch soon and with the weight reduction(seats and spare tire), I should be able to do much better than that... The track I ran it at is about 2-3 tenths of a second slower than the other Georgia track(further away) that I go to because of elevation and better track conditions... So that 15.9 at Commerce, Georgia is more like a 15.7-15.6 at the track in Reynolds, Georgia...
  5. I changed my plugs and upon reinstalling the throttle body and cable, I noticed that there was too much slack in the throttle cable... I doubt I was getting wide open throttle, I adjusted it so that when I floor it, the throttle is completely open, there is still some slack in the cable, which is ok... I'm not sure if it's from the new plugs, throttle cable adjustment or advanced timing, 12 degrees(stock is 10 degrees) but the car definately feels faster...
  6. I've only owned two Honda's, my '00 Civic Si with b16a2, 5 speed manual, and have driven it to 130 with no fuel cut off... I had my '98 Accord up to 138 with no fuel cut off and no mods except Eibach springs... I personally know people that bolted a turbo or supercharger on the b16a2('00 Si) with no computer mods and pegged out at 145 mph(red line in 5 gear)... The Acura Integra Type R will do 140mph... I believe the lower model Civic's are electronically limited because they only put T rated tires on them, like the CX, DX, and HX models... The only fuel cut off that my '00 Si has, is at red line, it cuts out at 8200rpms... The '99 and '00 Honda Civic Si does not have a top speed limiter, that is a FACT!!! My '98 Honda Accord 4 cylinder, 5 Speed manual did not have a top speed limiter, that is a FACT!!! I did research on both of these cars before I bought them, reviews in magazines and they stated that they were drag limited and I tested it myself... There is no speculation what so ever... We had an entire club based on the '99 and '00 model, I know just about everything there is to know about the '99 and '00 Civic Si... I've worked on over a dozen of them... Here is a page from another site that I surf of data compiled of different cars... Car info...
  7. Honda's or Acura's are not limited, GSR's and Type R's do 130 mph+... My '00 Civic Si is stock with bolt-ons and a .75" drop and I've had it up to 130 mph and had power to spare... The magazine rated my car with a top speed of 128mph... I had the SC300 up to 135 mph, ran out of room, and my Honda CBR600F4i up to 154 mph... Honda's and Acura's are drag limited, air and lack of power slows them down, if you lower the car, it will go faster... I had a '98 Honda Accord i4, 5 speed manual and it topped out at 125 mph, I lowered it on Eibach Sportlines(1.8f-1.5r) and I got it up to 138...
  8. It looks like this one, only I don't have that hard case...
  9. I changed the spark plugs on my SC300 today, it was alot easier than I thought it would be... I had to remove the throttle body, I didn't have any extra screws laying around :D and the car starts and runs much better, I don't think they've ever been changed... I changed the manual transmission and rearend fluid the other day, made a mess with that... I bought a little pump to pump the fluid in and it just didn't pump very well, got it all filled up though... The gears feel alot better... I have to change the brake fluid now, first time flushing the system, I think I'll test it out on my Civic(no ABS) first and see how it goes... I bought a brake bleeder from Sears so I could do it by myself without having to pump the brake pedal... I have changed a few calipers before but never flushed the whole system...
  10. Not a Problem!!! I live in Atlanta Georgia... I can't believe you told me :D , but are you willing to share your address with us? <_< ;) Just kidding. If I told you exactly where I lived, you probably wouldn't be able to find me anyway!!! I live about an hour from Atlanta, I use Atlanta because it a big city that everyone knows!!!
  11. You lost me. What are you referring to? Rabidus: Thanks for clarifying about the seats. and I still want your new seats. Where do you live again? :D Not a Problem!!! I live in Atlanta Georgia... The seats were $1100 shipped with rails... I ordered rails for a '95 Supra since their seats are a direct bolt in and there wasn't an option for the SC300 for rails... There was one small issue with the install, there are 5 bolts holding the stock seat down, 4 going into the floor and 1 going into the center consol... Well the one going into the center consol didn't line up, all the rest did... Since these seats only weigh 27 lbs each, I didn't worry about it and I'm only using the 4 main bolts, the stock seats weigh around 74 lbs and probably need that extra bolt for more support... That 5th bolt is close and I could play with it and bend it and try to get it to line up but it didn't seem worth the trouble to me... I'll post a picture of what I'm talking about... Corbeau made the brackets off of measurements and didn't accually fit them in the car, I'm assuming... Not sure about the airbag sensors, if that's a big concern then I would do further research...
  12. The rumors are true, they fit me like a glove!!! These are the first set of racing seats I've ever had and I can't go back, I won't!!! I'm thinking about putting a set in my Civic, maybe the fixed Corbeau's(lighter), then I can swap them when needed...
  13. Here's a picture of my '95 SC300's seats, is it a '95 SC300???
  14. I thought the 00 Si's changed those ugly headrests? These seats came out of a '95 Civic, they are bolstered much much better than the '00 seats... I traded someone my seats for theirs straight up... We had to swap the rails and they bolted right up!!! I then order the leather for the front and back so that they would match... The car is a '00 Civic Si, I bought brand new in 2000...
  15. I ordered leather from Katzskin for my 00Si and installed it myself... It wasn't hard to do, it just took alot of time... I paid $650 for the leather, front and back seats... I know people that paid $1100 to have the same leather installed, the leather was included in that price... Here's a picture, if it doesn't work, paste the link below without the " " marks... "http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/i=wMTM0OTYzNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg
  16. I thought about the RE's, but I think the Flex's will suits me best...
  17. The back seats(seat back and seat bottom) weighs a total of about 30 lbs...
  18. I'm not worried about a stiff ride, I don't drive my Lexus everyday and the roads where I live in Georgia are pretty smooth, I rarely drive on rough pavement... I drive a '00 Civic Si everyday, I have Neuspeed springs with Tokico HP shocks, 26mm front and 22mm rear swaybars, the car weighs 2795 lbs with me in it... It's pretty stiff, I drove it to New York a few times and the ride was pretty bad, New York road suck, wouldn't want to drive it there everyday... I'm changing the swaybars on the Lexus also...
  19. I did some research and the JIC coilovers are slightly stiffer in the rear than the Tein Flex coilovers: JIC spring rates 783f/559r, Tein Flex spring rates 783f/448r... The Tein RE's and RA's both have a spring rate of 895f/559r... The JIC's list price is about $500 more than the Tein Flex coilovers... You can get custom spring rates from JIC though, but they may cost more...
  20. Instead of Teins, I would opt. for the Harder JICs Shocks and Coilovers. They're much better on Twistees and very tight turns, and I believe they're lighter than the Teins. Also some good sticky rubber. I believe welding the seats down to the body is a really good idea. A good weld job will prevent future damage, or worse lift off. Good Luck with this. I thought about the JIC coilovers but I just found out them in a magazine, they had them on a few cars in some articles... The Teins that I am considering getting are the Flex, the RE's have a higher spring rate... Do you know the spring rates of the JIC coilovers??? Anthony
  21. I have a '00 Civic Si with Neuspeed springs and Tokico shocks with a Comptech 22mm rear swaybar, and Comptech intake and exaust... It handles really good and the stock seats really sucked, I mentioned in a group of people that I wanted a set of '95 Civic seats(bolstered much, much better), and someone wanted my horrible seats, so I traded seats with him straight up... We just had to swap rails and they bolted right up... I then order leather from Katzskins and put it on the seats, that was a pain in the !Removed!, it was the first time I ever did it and it took forever but in came out good... In the '96-'00 model Civic's, they went cheaper on the seats, but just about all Civic and Integra parts are interchangable one way or another, like Supra and the SC300...
  22. Thanx, I really don't want to drill into the car to mount the seatbelt harness, if I can bolt them to the rails, then I'll get the 4 point harness... I'm taking it to a track event in Savannah on the 11th and I need to get a few more things; Tein coilovers, clutch, Daizen swaybars... Hopefully I'll have what I need and be able to install it all by then, garages rule... Anthony
  23. 2 seats + rails + shipping came out to around $1100... I love them, they offer so much more support than the stock seats, well, the stock seats didn't offer any support at all... I drive the car like I stole it alot and these seats keep me locked in... You'll be suprised how much more you can control the car with good seats... RX7 wheels, 16x8 with 245/50/16 tires
  24. I just replaced my seats with some Corbeau's... Both of my stocks seats are 8-way power adjustable with power lumbar and heated seats and weighed around 74 pounds each... Each Corbeau is supposed to weigh around 27 pounds each, not sure about the rails... The 16x7 steel spare tire with 225/55/16 weighs in at 49 lbs. I have '95ish turbo RX7 wheels, 16x8 with 245/50/16 on them that weigh 39 lbs. each, the tire alone weighs 26.2 lbs. each(weight from company's website)... Anthony
