Welcome to LOC :) I have seen this many times over the 9 years on LOC. It is to do with your remote locking fob. If you hold the unlock button for more than a few secs your windows will all wind down. This is so you can do it from a distance in the summer so the car cools down before you get in. I had this on mine, i was at work and when i finished work i went out to the public car park only to find all my windows were wide open. I had the dealer disable this feature.

sounds like you are viewing in the wrong viewing mode, You need to go to your profile Then look at bottom See image to make sure you select Standard

I agree.. it has been a long time on the old design. This design is bespoke to us, so tweaks are happening all the time. After a few days everyone will soon know their way around :)

Thanks :) The permissions set in the software are the same as before. Changes to the forums will be made over the next few weeks.

Hi We are using both

hi The site is loading slow because the server is doing rebuilds. In order to keep site down to a minimum we have repopned it while we are still working on the website. Please list what parts of the text you are having problems with and we'll take a look. We have to upgrade to keep the site software up to date, the forum software has now been launched to version 3. The older version will soon be unsupported, therefor making the site insecure as there will no longer be any updates for version 2. The site will speed up once the server has completed the tasks.

Also i would like to add that things are a bit slow at the moment due to the server doing Post rebuilds, this can take about 5 hours.

As some members may have noticed we have launched a new website for the club. This is a long awaited change for LOCUS and we hope to move forward with the club. We are not complete with the development of the website, there are many features not working yet, plus we shall be adding new features over the next coming weeks. Few things that has changed PM system, to view your PM's please view "my Conversations" in your pm section. We are aware that some PM's are unable to respond to. This is the way things were converted with the software and beyond our control, however you can still read all your PM's and create new PM's. You will also notice that PM's are now use conversations in a topic format. The old silly quote system is now gone... Hooray! Profile system has changed Status Updates, now post whats on your mind, similar to facebook. Latest posts is now in a form of a buttom top right of the forums. We are aware some fonts need adjusting and some of the layout needs a tweak. We are working through the list of things to change. Gallery and Garage will be back soon! cheers Steve

cheers for the info :) Wonder if it is worth buying an old car? I will try and see what options i have, perhaps lonely planet might know of an option, ordrive to Alaska and then bring it back in to canada. Shipping a car from the UK will not be allowed as we drive on the other side of the road. I have heard that this is not possible to do apparently. I Could be wrong. I like to drive about seeing places, best way to travel. In a few years I will be looking to drive to Australia, providing the passing countries dont blow each other up before or on the way.

did the car go in to crawl mode? Let us know what code you got if you take it in. There is a way of counting beeps using paperclips, but i am not going to advise you do that.

Hi folks I am looking at driving from Alaska to New York for a holiday. Being british I am unsure of a few things about the states and canada and I am hoping there are a few Americans and Canadians may be able to help me out 1. Is it possible to rent a car in alaska and drop off in new york? 2. Which is the best month in Alaska and canada for driving? hope someone can help me out cheers Steve

hi guys, apologise i did not see this thread. I agree the google search is not brilliant, it was to get over the 3 letter limit. However, we are due to upgrade the whole system before the year is out so please bear with me.
