  1. Thanks for the suggestion but Toyota IV fluid was used so that is not my concern. There has to be something else going on.
  2. My 99 RX300 has 132K miles and has been well serviced. Recently I had my shop do a complete transmission fluid change which we have been doing every 15K. Picked the vehicle up and on the way home, after it was warmed up , I floored it to see if it shifted any better. It did but the traction control light and check engine light came on. I could not get the traction control light to switch off. If I restart the car it will stay off as long as I do not accerlerate hard, but the check engine light is always on. Prior to the service the transmission was a little sloppy but with no check lights on. Has anyone had this happen to them before or have any idea what the problem may be other than the fact that these transmissions are less than the best.
  3. My 99 RX dome light works fine except when I open the doors on the passenger side of the vehicle. If you open either the front or rear door the light will not kick on. Works perfect on the drivers side and activation from the key clicker. I looked it over trying to find some relay button that may have been stuck or shorted out, but couldn't fine one. I suspecet that the relay is either inside the door jam or coming from under the dash. Anyone know what's going on with this, and if so, how do you repair it. :(
  4. This is no big deal but I recently lost my "D" indicator light on the instrument pannel when in drive. All the others function , light up fine. Has anyone had any experience with this and or know what is involved in getting the "D" to light. The rx300 is a 1999.
  5. Sorry to jump in on this so late in the discussion. I did purchase a 99 rx300 with 113,000 miles on it. It was lexus certified at 35K and had service records since day one. I spent around $2,000 at my local shop to give the car it's 120K mile check up which included everything the dealer would preform and then some. They went through everything in the car from timing belts to tune up to brakes and transmission service. All filters the water pump, tire rotation and alignment was replaced or serviced. The car looks and runs perfect and I do not expect any major problems with it for years to come. In fact the car still smells new. Basic maint OK which since the 120k service has been nill. If you like the vehicle and feel comfortable about taking a chance with it, go for it but try to get the price down a bit. I paid $12,500 for mine a year a go. I upgraded the tail lights and add a spoiler and chrome wheels. It has been one of the nicest cars I ever owned.
  6. My 1999 rx 300 is coming up on it's 120K mile maintenance check up. Does anyone have the list of things that the dealers goes through at that milage? Thanks
  7. I have a 99 RX 300 and purchased a complete set of 2001 lenes. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to install them. Thanks
  8. Thanks................That is exactly what I was looking for.
  9. Thanks. Yes I am looking to upgrade to the newer clear lenses. Do you know where I can get a complete set?
  10. I just purchased a 99 RX300 and want to upgrade the rear tail lights. I was looking for Clear Atlezza type lenses but can't seem to find them. I've seen the black ones on Ebay, but I not crazy about them. Does anyone know where I can get the clear type? Also if you already have them on your RX 300, can you let me know the Atlezza's SKU or part number. This will make it easier for me to locate. Finally does anyone have a complete set they wish to sell. Thanks KP :(
