  1. 1. you must have a short arm or something.. i have no problem with this 2. don't notice this 3. don't press on the break, it doesn't start the engine but turns it on 4. this makes no sense, something wrong with your nav or ur not explaining it right 5. put the damn seat belt on, it's the law and can get u a ticket.. u'll be thankful then lol 1. In an 07, the inside door handle is in the way of your arm and wrist being straight to hit the windows. You have to angle your wrist to reach them. Not impossible task, just an annoyance. 3. Try and activate your sunroof after you shut off your car. You'll see what I mean. 4. What I'm saying is that while I understand they don't want the DRIVER messing with the NAV while driving, why can't the passenger?? The car already has sensors in it, sensing a passenger. It should "disarm" the NAV lockout. 5. Ever frequent a drive thru? You take your seat belt off to get your wallet, why do I need a seat belt to pull forward, pay window one, get my food at window two.. etc. The Lexus GS430 we traded in on this just gave you one ding/ding. That's it. Not BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
  2. After a few months, I have a few pet peeves with my IS250. Anyone notice... 1. you can't easily reach the window controls with your arm on the armrest? The door handle prevents you from reaching forward with your fingers. 2. when on cruise control, the damn thing constantly shifts up/down/up/down.. when on a grade? 3. getting the ignition "on" without starting the car usually equates to starting the car. 4. the nav not working when there's a passenger. The car senses a passenger, (and dings annoyingly for seat belts) why doesn't the flippin nav work when there's a passenger???? 5. The friggin ding.... ding.... ding... BLANG BLANG BLANG for seat belts. I'M NOT FRIGGIN STUPID LEXUS. (just lazy <_< )
  3. Sorry, wasn't clear. We already have power seats, just not the memory part. As for asking the dealer.. does anything ever come out of their mouths that sounds cheap/reasonable?
  4. The one stupid thing we didn't notice when getting our IS250 is that it didn't have memory seats. We miss that off our old GS430. I've searched through a few threads and only found people saying it's cheaper to trade it in and get one with it already but that aint cheap. Anyone know if it can be added and/or how much? I can't believe it's much more than a software upgrade and probably a switch with wiring that is already there (somewhere) for it.
  5. I just let the wife drive the car. She's BOUND to hit something sooner or later.. then repaint. :whistles:
  6. I beat this one to death a couple weeks back. The 06 is like above but the 07 is not. The only thing I found was a "hard wire switch" to allow input while driving. ewww.
  7. Can't really comment on the car seats part since our kids are teenagers and fit fine. We traded in a GS430 on a IS250. No, the power is not there like the 430 (which I understand is about the same as the IS350) however the 250 has plenty of power for wifey (I have a C5 on nitrous for my go-go-go car) and is comfortable to drive. I have the "sport" pkg and it's a little firm for a cruiser car. The 6 speed auto is great. Always on power, so you don't really notice a lack thereof. Just my .02
  8. Ours came with the package. At first I thought "cool".. but coming from a GS430, the IS rides like a rock. My truck rides nicer. I guess if I was going to track my IS, it would be good... but for daily driving... it's quite stiff. I'm probably going to swap it out.
  9. 35 shot is not a big deal and no, you wouldn't need a tune. It would be good to scan it though while spraying just to make sure. Dry shots are the safest for what you want. And as for the warranty... you can pull off the nozzle, feed line, and bottle in about 15 mins. Then take it in. Most warranties specify "if the damage can be directly linked to the modification...".
  10. Just picked up our IS250 last night. Traded in our 2003 GS430. While the IS is down on brute power (in comparison) it is a kick to drive. We got NAV and sport pkg.. chrome 18s, spoiler, pedals.. and hit 35k otd. Our dealer was very good. I've bought about 8 brand new cars in my lifetime, and probably double that in used cars from dealers, and Lexus in Thousand Oaks, CA was extremely good/quick.
