  1. My right rear window on my 02 es300 has stopped responding to the up/down switch, although i still hear it clicking, just like the other guy from not too long ago. It started going out intermittently, not working for a day, then working for a few weeks, but it's been out all week this week so I figure it's just the dirty contact and I'm going to try and clean it this weekend. I've tried finding instructions for removing the rear door panel, but no luck. Is there anything to look out for when taking the door panel off and cleaning the switch? Are there any detailed instructions on the net, for free or for pay? Thanks a lot!
  2. I got my 2002 es300 last month, and I noticed this about my seatbelt. I just thought it was old or I'd have to replace the mechanism, but it took just 1 Q-tip to bring it back to like new. I'm so glad I found this forum! Michael quote name='SKperformance' date='Mar 19 2007, 06:50 PM' post='232494'] Most of us have come across the seatbelt being lazy and not retracting when released. Well i found out it can be fixed by cleaning the upper anchor Basically as the seatbelt retracts it leaves behind a film of dirt which build up over time. By taking a q tip in alcohol you can clean the anchor holding up the belt . Once clean add some plastic protectant to allow it to be more slippery and it is all done in 30 seconds. My belts now retract when released again . Who ever looks under the anchor for dirt but it works.
  3. Does this happen on everyone else's '02 ES300? When you start the car, the recirculate air light is on? Is there some way to set this so that it doesn't come on every time? Thanks, Michael
  4. I've got an '02 es300 too, and I had the same problem trying to get a direct input for my Creative Labs Zen player. There's no Aux in capability for the stereo, so I ended up getting an FM Modulator installed. It's just as good a fix, IMO, and only about $110 installed.
  5. I'm 30 and just purchased an '02 es300, black. I just put in a new subwoofer and am getting the windows tinted in a few weeks, so I don't think anyone will confuse it with an old person's car. And if they do, who cares? I bought it for the smooth, quiet ride and fantastic interior, not for strangers' approval. Michael B)
