here in jersey the sunoco's has 94 octane

it looked like the leak was coming from the tranny in back of the tranny pan.

no one knows huh :(

i was going down the highway doing about 85 then i saw a lot of smoke coming from the baack while driving. i pulled over and checked the back then i realized that it was coming from the front. the reason for the smoke is because fluid spilled on the exhaust pipes. i touched what was leaking on the ground and it was tranny fluid. i got the tranny fluid changed not too long ago. just a drain and refill. nothing major. My question is what areas would the tranny leak, what can i do to stop it (if theres any additives), and what is the cost for repairs?

94 sc400. 107k. power steering pump, 2 alternators, radiator, belts, adn then there just regular stuff.

kewl, but even when i got home i left the car running and i put my hand in front of the pipes and it felt like nothing was really coming out. like its holding back. man i was scared. i was just thinking of gasket or rings. when i saw that smoke.

well i was going 130mph. when i was reving it, i reved it pretty high and there was a little popping not loud though.

it feels even sounds like the exhaust is backed up. i was going down the highway and when i got off the exit and went up to the light a puff of smoke came out of the exhaust. i rev the engine a bit and no smoke came out. its pretty cold out so you should be able to see smoke coming out. i put my hand in front of the pipe and it felt like it wasn't getting the proper flow. what should i do?

what wattage speakers are in the front and the back little ones? also what sizes are they?

can you change to mobil 1 at anytime of the cars life even though it says for newer vehicles on the bottle?

yeah but when i push on the gas pedal and the speed gradually goes up then it does it for like 2 seconds. i don't see how it could be the abs/traction control system. <_< hmmmmm

thats what i did i rerouted the vacuum line to the heater control valve and now i have heat thank god. going to leave it like that for the winter. so thats what i would alchemymike for the winter, t least you would have heat.

i had a new radiator put in a couple months ago and they put in the orange coolant in the radiator. so i think im good there. one more thing. since i have 106k in the car is it bad to drain and refill the tranny fluid. right now i feel a little slpping in the tranny. i bought the type IV fluid from lexus i know it takes two qts. would it help any if i were to change fluid from the pan. and what are steps to drain and refill the tranny fluid?

so you can use mobil 1 anytime in your cars life. cool. so then i would just use up these bottles and in the next oil change i'll use mobil 1. now is there or would there be a difference when i start using mobil 1 and how much would it improve your engine?

im gonna have a mechanic check to see if thats the problem. i'll keep you posted, thanks for the help.

i was thinking of getting mobil 1 synthetic but i heard thats only for newer cars and it would be bad to switch to that considering that my car has 106,000 miles on it. is that true? even on the mobil 1 bottles it says for newer cars. even though the sc400 recommends 5-30w would it be ok to put 10-30w. also would it be ok to put just 6 qts cause thats how many i got?

how many quarts of oil does the sc400. is mobil drive clean plus(synthetic blend), its for engines over 75,000 miles any good. if not whats the best oil. i have 106k on the car.

its a wierd clamp with a pin thats holding it in place don't want to try and take it out and having me lose it somwhere in the engine compartment. plus its 11 at night and its freeeeeeeeeeezing.

ok i found the rod that you guys were talking about. now i pushed it in and there was a hose that connects to the valve, i saw build up of what it looks like old coolant the build up from when i had the radiator leak. now you guys told me that coolant has to pass through. is it possible thatwhen i put them radiator sealant additives that it could of clogged up that hose and thats why coolant is not passing through therefore im not having heat? hmmmm <_< anyone...

my rear speakers aren't workig also. whats the wattage on the rear and on the front passenger speakers? what would be the best speakers to put in?

the only problems i've had was the radiator, alternator, and the power steering pump. that was between 102k and 105k. oh yeah and my heat don't work.now i have 106k and heat still don't work. haven't had heat since 105k.
