  1. i was in traffic today and i decided to turn on the radio after not doing so for a few days and it all of a sudden came on. i was daaaaaaaaaam.. so im thinking it could be a loose wire in the head unit. also when i would take a quick left turn it would go out and come back. what do you guys think?
  2. im having the same problem too. im thinking it could be loose bolts. maybe
  3. took out the cd changer and the amp. there was water in there. the amp was a little moist. i dryed it up and cleaned the connectors but still doesn't work. if the amp shorted out can an aftermarket amp be put in. if so how many watts and what would be the best amp for it?
  4. i checked the amp and when i looked i saw water. not a lot of water but just real moist down there. i dont smell anything burnt. how can water get in where the amp is?
  5. thanks for the help guys ill keep you posted
  6. before the radio went out completely, it would go out every now and then. so i disconnected the connector and when i disconnected it it cam back on. when i went to connect it it would go out. so i left it disconnected. can you please explain that one?
  7. that connector has been disconnected. im gonna try the amp to see if that works. ill keep you posted thanks one more thing that connector underneath the seat. what does that operate?
  8. theres power going thorugh the radio but i can't hear anything. what do you guys think it could be. i know there a couple topics out there about this but i can't find them so i started another one..
  9. let me know how it comes out. and if you need help ask me anything good luck
  10. oh yeah you can also use the clay on the headlights and taillights. and if they are willing to pay, tell them to give you the 350 and do it yourself. so you spend a couple bucks on a clay bar and you made 350. man i wish i was you ;) if you have any question i'll be happy to answer anything..
  11. im a professional detailer. first off. don't have the car wet sanded. they just want to make a quick buck when all they are going to do is caly the car with clay bar. and also depending on how bad the over spray is , if you were to clay the car yourself it would take you anywhere from 15 to 30 min to caly the whole car and remove the overspray. trust me, dont even pay 350 for it. RIP OFF do it yourself. all you have to do is buy the clay at a pep boys or autozone etc... wash the car real good. start with the roof line which is. all the windows, roof, hood, trunk, and side mirrors. then do the sides of the car but stay above the moldings. you dont want to drag dirt from the bottom up because that can cause scratches. after that then do the front of the car, then below the moldings, and then the back of the car. after the whole car is washed take the caly bar(work it so its flat) while the car is still wet, rub the caly bar on the car again starting from top to bottom. when claying you need patience. just keep rubbing, not to much pressure. as you rub the overspray will come off. that *BLEEP*es me off that someone will charge 350 for a tops 30 min job.
  12. south jersey on 295 South with my sc 400. for about 4 miles i was doing 145 along with a suzuki gsx-r. it felt like the car could of gone a little faster but i was just pacing with the suzuki. nice rush B)
  13. if you go under the car all you have to remove is the alternator and then your right there at the pump and the lines. thats how i fixed mine. a lot easier.
  14. im thinking its just the pump because i thought the tsame thing your thinking. which is that it looks like from the hose. i cleaned the pump and hoses off with brake parts cleaner. always checked it after i would drive it. gave it 3 days and i saw it was the pump. i bought an oem remanufactured pump at advance auto parts. think it was like 250 then there was 75 dollar core cost. put the new pump in and haven't had a problem since. Lexie, really check. dont want to have to put out any money that you dont have too. im thinking it just the pump. keep us posted and let us know if it was the pump or a hose. i think its the pump. don't let it go to long cause it could fry your alternator.
  15. make sure its not the hose. when my pump was leaking i thought it was the hose along with the pump. i cleaned all the fluid off of the hoses and the pump with a parts cleaner. i kept an eye on it and saw that it was just the pump. i bought a remanufactored pump and its been fine ever since. makae sure you get that taked cared soon cause the fluid can fry your alternator. i went through two in a month cause i counldnt find the problem until i saw it was the pump. just make sure its the pump cause fluid could just run down and it would look like its the hose.
  16. your gonna have to go from underneath to take the pump out. first take out the alt and then the pump. you can see from there what you have to do to take the pump out.
  17. i had problems with the power steering pump a few months ago. the symptom is if you have to keep filling it up with power steering fluid. if it is leaking you got to get it fixed quick because of the alternator. the alternator is right underneath the pump and if the pump is leaking, the fluid leaks on the alternator and your alternator will be shot. i went through two alternators in the matter of a month because my pump was leaking. and don't use no stop leaks cause they dont work.
  18. the car recommends 5-30w. i use mobil drive clean plus 5-30w. i got the oil filter from lexus. that runs about 13-14 dollars. i wouldn't use 10-30w just because of the recommendation that the car requires.
  19. does anybody know what the orange connector operate?
  20. its says that the super stealth is a reciever not a transmitter. whatever that means. but thats what they say on how they jam the radar or laser. does anybody know? oh yeah, and it says that it could detect of up to 3 miles.
