  1. 19s on which car? the 400h? the 330? I'd like to see this option. I am actually a little surprised (pleasantly) that Lexus is offering 19s. :) Where is this options page?
  2. I think you mean 245/40. :) How about a set of L-Sportline Model 4 in chrome. Here is a pic of the wheel in silver (just imagine it in chrome): I know a shop (not me) selling this for $275 each shipped in 18x8.5 size only. Rim only, no tire. Still a great price. Pm me or email me: neo.one@gmail.com if you are interested. Just trying to be helpful. Not making a cent personally. One thing you migh consider is a drop (mild or wild is up to you). Once you start showing more metal, the car starts to look like an SUV. :)
  3. I would recommend 6000k. 4100k/4300k in a reflector is still very slightly yellow. Many prefer Philips components but different HID kits can contain Philips components.
  4. The sale only includes the Front and Rear bumpers, and the side skirts. He has it ot for sale but is not in a hurry. There have been offers for pieces but he is holding out to sell the whole thing at asking price. He will let it go when he gets the price he is asking and I don't know when he will start to entertain the parting of the pieces. Just let me know when you are ready and I'll see where he is at. New Job

I know a few people who have done this. They hate it. They have a family though so is is kind of tough not seeing your wife and kids.
  7. Here is a pic of his car: The kit is $1500 + shipping. I noticed you are in CA but can't tell if you are in the North, South, or both. :) He is in the North so you could potentially save on shipping. If your car is this color, then you will save a lot. If you don't then you will still save a little. I think the kit when new was around $1800. The kit is harder to come by new now though. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you into contact with him.
  8. That is the website for Carson Toyota's OEM and aftermarket sales. I have bought many things from them. No worries there. Still, the L-Tuned products are now discontinued so whatever stock is out there, that's it.
  9. This is correct. Just jack up the car on one side. It should fit fine then.
  10. Install what? The TC? The TC is not an L-Tuned part. It is up to them to warrant it. You will need to ask them if they will even install it. Some dealerships do not like aftermarket stuff. Maybe you are lucky and this one is OK. BTW - How did you even get to the L-Tuned website. It has been dead for awhile now since L-Tuned is discontinued.
  11. But he has a GS and there is not CT kit for the GS yet. :)
  12. That is for 98 onward, notice I have a 96 :( ... Thanks anyhow.... ← Oops. Sorry.
  13. Hard to say. The Mac Blick kit would give you the rare factor as I don't recall it on any "public" car. I like the L-Sportline because it is full replacement but since it was readily available for a few years, it is more common place. I like the Wald Exec too. For a lip kit, it is pretty nice and it is somewhat rare. Personally, given the three, I'd go for the L-Sportline because I think full replacement kit has cleaner lines. You can always mold in the lip kits but I'd rather just get a full bumper. If you don't have this hang up, then the Wald would be a nice option.
  14. Do you have pics of the Mac kit? I don't recall seeing it. L-Sportline has been discontinued. You may still be able to get a kit but the prices (I believe) went up recently for the remainder of stock. Like other US made kits, the L-Sportline is polyurethane so it is a little more durable than he JDM FRP o fiberglass. I know someone selling a full (used but in great condition) L-Sportline kit for 1500 if you are interested. As for the Wald kits, they look very smooth. I personally have gone away from lip kits though so I've never considered the Walk kits. They do look nice though.
  15. Here's another way to use the OEM system with external devices. http://www.vaistech.com
  16. They go for a few dollars more than $30 at Carson Toyota: http://www.l-tunedParts.com It is a chunk more at the dealer. Some members also got an air filter from Home Depot and cut them up to fit the cabin filter frame. Saves quite a bit of $$$.
  17. This person did. I think he is finished now. You might want to contact him to get any insights. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...threadid=109822
  18. I agree. Definitely add a tranny cooler if you are installing a high stall TC.
  19. Well, you have the basic idea with the TC. The stall speed is a magic number that is different for each car. The goal is to get the car to go at the optimal RPM, in its optimal power band. With the OEM TC, the stall is lower so you are not using the full torque capabilities of the car. The TC does not make the car faster in an absolute sense. The torque rating is what it is and will still be the same after the high stall TC. With the high stall TC, you are just taking full advantage of that torque number. You will feel it. :D

  22. Faster off the line. :)

  24. Hey guys, cool site I must say....I have a 2001 Lexus GS300 and bought it brand new back then. Lately, I've gotten the itch to install the HID lights but am leary of using just any kit out there. Can anyone tell me how easy/hard it would be to do it yourself? I'm an engineer by trade so tinkering with stuff is not an issue whatsoever but wanna make sure I get the right installation and products before I drop a cool $400+. I was thinking about going with lights that are 7000K to make sure the cops don't pull me over. In any case, thanks for your help folks and looking forward to as much detail as possible in reaching an educated decision. ← I would opt for the 6000k kits. It gives you a white light with a very faint blue from afar. You get the white without losing too much of the output compared to the OEM 4100k bulbs. You will lose even more light output with 7000k, unless you must have the color of the 7000k.
  25. Send these guys an email. I am not sure if their RX product is available yet but you can ask. http://www.vaistech.com
