  1. I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S about 25,000 miles ago at Costco. I think they were around ~$1100 for the set (18"). I've had no issue with these tires. Quiet, smooth, great in heavy rain, and plenty of tread left. I actually found the original Bridgestone Potenzas summer tires to have a little better dry traction than the Pilots, and they lasted me nearly 30,000 miles. But overall, the Michelins are a better tire. I see no reason why I wont get the full 45,000 miles from these, if not more.
  2. same with me...a week after I brought mine home, I hit the potted plants and scratched the front a little bit. I feel you guys. Some jealous a-hole keyed my car the first week I had my IS. *BLEEP*s..
  3. I feel you on this one.. On my daily morning commute to work last year, a a rock came out of nowhere and chipped my windshield. Seemed pretty minor at the time. By the time I got off work, it had spread into a 2 foot crack.
  4. I just bought a Jabra SP5050 bluetooth speakerphone at Costco for $50 with coupon. So far, it works great. Sounds is very loud and clear, and people on the other end have no problem hearing me. I guess it doesn't hurt that the IS has a pretty quite interior. Its also pretty slim, and slides right onto your visor. I'm pretty happy with it, and it sure beats wearing a goofy headset in my ear. My 2 cents...
  5. I have an IS 250 with the 18s and I have noticed this as well. It is definitely more pronounced on rougher pavement, but it does happen on smooth pavement sometimes as well. I don't mind it as long as nothing detrimental is happening on/to my car...
  6. Hey guys, I know for a fact the IS250 can be equipped with HID's because i just got one. Here's my story: Last week, I bought a IS 250 RWD w/ 18" rims (no nav, no luxury pkg). The dealer told me it had HID's, so I was happy to get my car. When I went home that night and turned the headlights on, it didn't look like HIDs (no bright blue hue). I called the delaer and complained that the car wasn't what he said it was. The dealer told me that the only way to get HID's was to get the luxury package w/ Nav (extra $3400 retail). I was *BLEEP*ed. Afer haggling with this guy for a few days, He located an identical silver IS250 w/ 18's, HID's, and a rear spoiler in Arizona (i'm in Seattle). So, i just picked it up 2 days ago, and had to pay an extra $500. Long story short, you can HID's on an IS250, even w/o the Luxury pkg. PS - some A**hole keyed my car yesterday, and I'm about kill to someone, especially considering the crap i had to go thru to get the car i wanted....
