I clean them all the time, but i never knew about the silicone lube. I will have to try that. Thanks sk. ;)

It happens to me as well. After a little while it will start to work. What i do is turn the heat on high and get the car nice and hot then the windows work. The little heater vents on the doors are supposed to thaw them i guess, but they do freeze up if the car is not garage kept.

Mine is leaking oil now and i was told that it was the valve cover gasket (which i have to have fixed). The head gasket is worse then the valve cover gasket correct?

Mine is real close to 200k right now. I am hoping for a lot more. ;)

Haha that was so funny. I tell my kid that if i find out that he stole something that he has to take it back to the person that he stole it from. So far so good. I hope, but then again he goes no where but school. I just hope that when he is old enough to go places by himself that i taught him well enough that he won't steal. If he does and he gets caught like that kid did he needs to have the daylights scared out of him.

Yeah i just start mine up and go. Well i start it up turn on the heated seats then go. So true. My washer bottle is cracked (which i have to get a new one) because someone put water in it. I guess it froze up in the winter then cracked and now it won't hold anything. When i bought it, it was like that so i really have to get a new one and i keep forgetting until i am riding down the highway and some big truck rides past and splashes that slush crap on my windows. Then i remember and say i can't see. :D

Oh ok now i see why it was posted on the internet. I would be mad too if someone stoled my HIDs. Sometimes you wonder what goes threw these peoples heads when they do something like that. Haha i stoled their lug nuts now they have to buy new ones. <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> Not humm they might not notice that i took there lug nuts and start riding down the road and crash. I don't know. When they stoled my valve caps they replaced them with 2 regular black ones and one that i think went to a bicycle. I guess hoping that i wouldn't notice. That's what makes me think that it was someone from around me. Hoping that it would take me a few days to notice. I really don't know when they were taken all that i know is that when me and my husband went to check the air in my tires i said to him that isn't our valve cap we had gold ones. A friend of mine was laughing and said that i better keep an eye out for some kids riding their bikes with my valve caps.

Same here. I had to replace my radiator not long after i got it. That was a ruff one trying to find a radiator for a 1993 5 speed manual. I called lexus for one and they quoted me at $550.00. They said it was cause it had to be special ordered because it was a 93 5 speed. I ended up getting one from a junkyard that sold foreign parts. Cost me $150.00. I wasn't looking for it to be cheap or even looking for a used one i just wanted one that wouldn't cost me $550.00. Two junkyards told me $350.00. Can you believe it? There was no way that i was paying $350.00 for a used radiator. The one that i ended up getting was like brand new. That made me happy. :)

Isn't our hoods harder to open then the maximas are? Who would post how to steal HIDs on the internet? Never mind don't even answer that one. I guess it would be someone who would steal valve stem caps or lug nuts. Somebody with no sense in their head. I can't believe that people would sink that low to steal something. I know that there are people out there that will steal just for the thrill and some do it for the money, but please give me a break get a life better yet get a job is what i say to them. <_< I would like to :chairshot: them

Yeah you are probably right. I never thought of that. That would be really upsetting. You stuck somewhere because someone ripped your whole valve stem off.

Sometimes things like this happen. That's why i said that i am glad that it's up and running at all. I would like to add thanks Steve for saving what you did. :)

Probably. I was thinking about really messing with people who steal things like that. I seen these valve stem caps that have a key to take them off and if you try and steal them they just keep turning like they are stripped. Now that would be funny to see someone try and get them off.

I never heard of the headlights being stolen either. Talk about things being stolen I had my valve stem caps stolen. I had gold valve stem caps and three of them were stolen. <_< Don't ask me why they didn't steal all four, but they didn't. Don't ask me why they would steal them at all. I just thought that i would share something that was stolen.

Did you ever try pressing the button hard cause i know one time (when i first got my car) it wouldn't open so i pressed the putton hard (twice) and then after that it worked fine. I don't know if it was just stuck or what cause i have no problems with it now. I mean it won't hurt to try being that it might be broke anyway. I didn't like push it so hard that it would get stuck in there but i did add a little more pressure to it then you normally would.

I have a 93 and my owners manual says the same thing, but i use the 91. I do have to say though if my husband uses my car he will put the 87 in. And like Alan said you can register at lexus.com and get a free owners manual. I did it and they sent it in the mail to me. Gotta love lexus! ;) Jill
