  1. blake, I love your dog Annie as well. My mom had a Dobie just like her only it was a male. His name was dude. He got sick a few years ago and they had to have him put to sleep. I still miss him. He used to play a game with my son. My son would make a growling noise at him and then he would show his teeth. He wouldn't make a bit of noise cause if he did my mom would yell at him. He never tried to bite him it was just a game to get him to show his teeth. He was one of the most loving dogs. He used to count for treats. It was so cool. I own a toy poodle mix. He is crazy, but we love him none the less. He will bite anyone that he don't like. You know them ankle biters. :o As long as we are around he only barks his little head off. Some of my friends are like can you lock that dog up or something i can't think with him around. I tell them no way this is his house and if i start locking him up then it will only make him hate you more. He only weighs 3 pounds. He is so funny. After a few minutes he will just lay down next to me or my husband. They just can't make any sudden movement towards one of us.
  2. That sounds really fun. I know for sure that my husband (not old and no big belly LOL ) would love to try that. You sound like you had a really good time so i will have to mention that to him.
  3. I had it replaced last month the 12 or 13. yes it was seized up. I got the car around 2 years ago and it was flushed and new brake fluid was put in. Also when they changed the caliper they did that. Here is an earlier post about it. Caliper It is now doing the same thing as it did before it was replaced. edit: It is not shaking as bad as it did the first time. That is the only think that is different.
  4. Hey guys i am hoping that someone can help me out here. I just had my caliper replaced not that long ago and i think it is bad again. :o Is there something that could be making it go bad? I am going to take it back to the garage as soon as i can, but i wanted to see if someone here can help let me know what is going on. :chairshot: Thanks, Jill
  5. I sure am glad to hear that your car is being treated good. I'm also glad to hear that you had a good time on your vacation. I know it had to be hard not to think about your car.
  6. I agree with you it is an art form. I think the hardest part of the whole thing was that we bought white paint figuring that it would match up and it stuck out so then we had to find out what color it was for sure. It is Garnet White. Other then that my husband said it was pretty easy.
  7. My husband does our chips. He uses them little tubes of paint with the brush. It looks real good you can't even tell that he went over it. What's makes it so easy for him is that his first job (as a teenager) was a body man in his brother's garage so it is pretty easy to him.
  8. steviej, It sounds as though your car is in good hands. I wish you the best of luck on it. I would keep the car also.
  9. It squealed real loud. They said cause it was stuck closed and wore the break pad down. Since they changed the caliper and breaks it don't squeak no more. I don't pay labor. My brother-in-law does it. He has a garage. :D
  10. They said that they had an easy time changing mine as well.
  11. I just wanted to say that i had a caliper changed on my car friday. The car squealed continuously and really loud and the car was shaking so bad. I just wanted to post what it did so that if anyone else has this problem they will have an idea of what it might be. I had to have the back brakes changed again because it wore the one down. It cost me $155.00 for everything.
  12. 1993 ES300 5 speed manual. Color: White 200,000 miles just a few days ago. I have no idea how many owners. The things that i had fixed and or problems: Radiator = $110.00 Axel (the passenger side) edited: 5/24/2005 I am now having the other Axel replaced (the driver side). I guess that i should have had them both changed at the same time, but it never crossed my mind at the time. I know better now. Battery = $60.00 Brakes = $200.00 Caliper = $155.00 edit: I now had the other Caliper changed (same price) and again new brakes in the back because the one was bad because of the caliper. Front valve pan gasket 5/28/2005 With the Axel and the front valve pan gasket i paid $200.00 The lights are burning out on the gauges Everything is fixed at my brother-in-laws Garage. What the car has: Leather seats Heated seats Gold package 6 disk CD changer Spoiler Car phone that is also on the steering wheel. (Not in use) Insurance: I pay $534.10 yearly. (edited 2/24/2006) I have reductions for the air bag and Accident Free. That is all that i can think of for now if i think of something else i will edit.
  13. Yeah i am sure the light was on cause when i got in the car i looked at the cluster before i shut the door. I will go out and try it again and see if it locks back up and if the light comes on or not. I did notice today when i opened it (i got in the car without waiting) it didn't lock back up. edit: Ok here is what it does. I unlocked the car then i opened the door and it locked back up (the light is on) then i unlocked them shut the door then relocked them waited a sec. unlocked them got in the car and i acted as though i was going to start it and it did not lock back up.
  14. No only if the door is open. If i close the door the light goes out.
  15. The same thing happened to my car after driving threw water. I was told that i got a belt wet.
  16. The other day when i unlocked my car and then i opened the driver door so that it wouldn't lock back up on me and it still locked back up (thank god i left it open cause i put the keys on the seat). Do you think that it is the same thing as the back doors or is it something else?
  17. I been having the same problem. Everything goes dim and the battery light comes on. It seems as though it should stall, but it don't and then when i shut it off it won't start. I thought that it was the alternator so i had it checked and i was told that the alternator was fine i just needed a new battery.
  18. I agree it is very nice! ;)
  19. I don't have a problem with his avator. popimp, You have a very nice car. ;)
  20. When my car vibrated like that it was the axle. I thought that my tire was going flat when it did it. I even stopped at a garage to see what was wrong with the tire.
  21. Thanks. I need to get that fixed bad. I have to keep stopping at a gas station and cleaning my windows.
  22. The seal (rubber nozzle) from the pump on my bottle is bad. Can i just buy the seal at a auto parts store or do i have to buy the whole pump? Also if i have to get the whole pump do they sell them at a auto parts store? Thanks
  23. I locked myself out as well and that was no fun. I had my purse in the car so even if i had my wallet key that would have never helped me. I had my inhaler in my purse and i thought oh man if i have an asthma attack now i am done for. We was at my mothers house which was good in a way, but still i started panicking when i thought about having an attack and not being able to get my inhaler.
  24. I was told that i have a bad valve cover gasket (valve pan gasket) whatever they called it. Anyway i get the same smell that you are talking about. If i am moving it seems to go away, but if i stop at a red light or something the smell comes back.
  25. In the manual it says: For the best compromise between fuel economy and vehicle performance, you should upshift or downshift at the following speeds. 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 24 km / h (15 mph) 2 to 3 or 3 to 2 40 km / h (25 mph) 3 to 4 or 4 to 3 65 km / h (40 mph) 4 to 5 or 5 to 4 72 km / h (45 mph) Hey that is the first time i read that. He** i drive it pretty good. LOL
