  1. I had a similar problem on my 01 GS, it was the door actuator. The part was around $300 on ebay
  2. Hey Qusjone, I had the same yr. and model you're looking at, and I must say it was relatively trouble free. I bought it with 42k miles and put 50k miles on it. In that time frame, I had an o2 sensor go bad as well as two power door lock actuators. I loved that car and I considered that to be pretty trouble free. If you decide to make a deal, I'm sure you'll enjoy. Let us know what takes place
  3. This morning I got up to go to work and my car wouldn't start. I even tried to put it in neutral to back it out of the garage so my husband could give it a jump but it would not come out of "park". The electric locks wouldn't work or anything. I'm hoping I just need a new battery and that its nothing serioius. Any thoughts? :( Hey Dymand, my LS died on me one time and had those symptoms, the poles on the battery needed to be cleaned and tightened. I took it to a mechanic to check out the system and said battery was fine and that was all that was wrong.
  4. Actually, when overdrive is engaged, the transmission will shift through all the gears. When the overdrive is off, it will only shift up to 3rd gear :)
  5. David, thats awesome! Get those pics up so we can see
  6. Hey Tall, I believe those buttons are the Homelink system. If it is, you can program your garage, gate, or even house lights to activate from those buttons. Hope this helps :)
  7. CONGRATULATIONS BUD! Looks great. Enjoy
  8. That orange light means you're travelling fast enough for the fluxcapacitors to create the 5.6 gigawatts of power that makes time travel possible. Duh! :P
  9. If you decide to get a new remote, you can find them on ebay pretty reasonably priced. Programming the remote is pretty easy, I found the instructions here http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ic=9825&hl= Let us know what takes place :D
  10. Congratulations maa To open the trunk with the keyless entry remote, you have to hold down the button until it beeps and trunk opens. If the other buttons work on the remote and the trunk button doesn't, it's possible for that button to be worn out, but unlikely. I'm sure you've figured out that the inside trunk release will only work if the lock cylinder right by it, is unlocked. Hope this helps
  11. Monaco, are you sure your LX is not fulltime 4wd? It's my understanding that the LX has always been fulltime 4wd. As far as I know, the button on the dash is to lock the center differential.
  12. Congratulations bud .... I've had great experience with Michelins, the other brands, mediocre experiences.
  13. I had an 01 GS300, I loved that car, I give it an 8. I now have a 95 LS400 I love it and give it an 8 as well. Its amazing, although the GS was 6 yrs newer than the LS, the LS feels much more substantial and quiet. I suppose it makes sense, they're different models with different prices, and the LS is an embodiment of the best of Lexus. I couldn't pick a favorite though, it would be like choosing between two of one's children ;)
  14. It looks good, I like the way the white matches the instrument needles. I wouldn't call the green lights "!Removed!," fuschia yeah, green no.
