  1. I tried updating my 02 Rx300 with a new navidation dvd (6.1), but had some problems so I wanted to go back to the original version (2000 v1) that was in the car when I got it. Someone said to disconnect the battery for 10-20 minutes and then reconnect the battery (this is suppose to reset the navigation). I then turned the car on and got the screen saying it was updating the navigation, then after a few minutes it came to the Caution screen, then I got a message saying Disc Error, check Disc. I tried this process again leaving the battery disconnected for about 40 minutes and got the same results. What do I do now to get my navigation working again? Please help! Thanks Ken

  3. My right (passenger site) headlight lens is all scratched and fogged up. Can I just replace the lens or do I have to replace the entire Headlight assembly? Does anyone know where I can find a new one cheap? Is it easy to replace?
  4. I had an 02 RX300 and then traded it in for an 07 RX350. After driving the 07 for 3 month, I found I liked my 02 RX300 a lot better. Ended up finding a used 02 RX300 with only 37K miles so I ended up trading the 07 back in for the 02. Much happier now.
  5. Just bought a 02 RX300 with Navigation and want to update the DVD with the latest US Maps. Lexus wants $450 to update. Can I get an updated one cheaper? If so where? Also, is it easy to install?
  6. I just bought a new RX350 (used to have a 2002 RX300 and loved it) and after two days I started hearing a lot of road noise coming from the rear of the car. It is not your typical noise it sounds more like a tinting noise (air going over metal), but it occurs more when I drive over a rough asphalt road and above 30 miles per hour. When I drive over a smooth asphalt road I don't hear it. It is really annoying. I took it back to the dealer and they said it is acceptable noise level. I am not satisfied with it and ready to sell the car and buy something else if I can't come up with a solution. I love the car, but very disappointed in the road noise. I am going back to the dealer again to ride another car with the same tires to see if the noise is the same. Also at the same time I started hearing the noise (3 days after I purchased the car) I also had a tow hitch put on. Talking to the hitch company and the dealer they said that would have nothing to do with it, but it just happed that the noise started at the same time. I actually went back to the hitch company and had them remove the hitch, but the noise was still there. I don't think they couldn't bumped anything that would be causing the noise to the way they fished the electric line thru. The noise really sounds like it is coming from the tires. Are there better tires that I could put on that wouldn't have the loud road noise especially over rougher asphalt roads? I have done some checking on Bridgestone tires and they are suppose to be better and quieter. Why did they put these Michelin tires (performance tires for sedans and coupes) on an SUV?
