I put the car in neutral then turned the key off and pulled onto the shoulder. I live in the city but i was lucky this happened on the highway or it could have got ugly.

I have a 2002 IS300,I was driving it last week and pushed on the gas and the accelerator stayed down, I hit the brakes and the car kept going. I had the brakes all the way down and the car was still going 60 some MPH. Has anyone ever had this happen to them or heard of this? I took it to the dealership and they didnt find a problem. I'm thinking of now getting rid of the car.
