  1. i would like to lower my car which springs and shocks would yall advise me to buy
  2. curious if anyone knows the widest tire and rim that will fit on the rear of a 95 sc 400? without modificatons
  3. first off good luck you will need it. second it is under the car just behind the rear driver side tire. i suggest spraying the fittings with some WD 40 a couple of times a day for about three days then trying to remove it. try not to brake the lines it will be really expensive to fix. let me know how it turns out
  4. If you do a 245/35/19 all around it will look really good and wont be too expensive and you can also rotate your tires since they will not be offset. and the difference in overall tire height fron the stock 225/55/16 to the 245/35/19 is .006" so your speedometer will still be almost perfectly accurate try that.
  5. I would of told them to keep my car and get me a rental and call me when they get the right bumper on there. They have no choice!!!!
  6. Make sure you open the bleeder vavles on the calipers before you compress the piston back into the caliper otherwise you could send contaminated fluid up into the ABS module and that could be costly.
  7. That is what i figured althougth the OEM pads are $180 from the dealer.
  8. Anyone that has replaced there brake pads which ones did you use and which are the best? Thanks for the input.
  9. Go ahead and save yourself money and time just go to valentineone.com and order a valentine $395 words can not describe i promise.
  10. I am about 99% sure that the alternator is not charging the battery sufficiently. This does not mean the alternator is bad check the posotive connection on the alternator make sure it is not arching over to something else around it. But I do not think that buying a new battery will help, thats not the problem.
  11. I have a 95 SC400 with about 20,000 miles on it. I have a feeling that I need to replace the fuel filter because of the hesitation I get from the car at times. How hard is this to do and what are some tips for doing it. Any comments appreciated. Thanks
  12. I have a 95 sc4 and I have the same problem. I think I need to replace the plugs and the fuel filter to fix the problem so I am going to try that.
  13. I have a 95 SC and about 3 months ago I had to replace the rear calipers because they froze up. Along with that new rotors and pads. I am not sure the cause of this but it was not cheap. Oh well I guess it is one of those things. The thing that made me mad was my car had 19K miles on it.
  14. I have a 95 400 also that does the same thing. I have 19K on it. Any comments would be a help.
  15. I will pay you 100 to do my plugs for me. I am not an idiot if it is pretty easy I will do it myself but when I looked under the hood it looked like a lot of work. Let me know I am in Austin also. Thanks Thomas
  16. I have a 1995 SC400, I need the spark plugs replaced. Where should I take the car to do it? The dealer wants $250. Any information from anyone would be helpful. Thanks.
  17. Thanks for everyones input. I took it to a couple places and 3 out of the 4 said to clay the car. So I am going to take the $1,000 quote from the place that wanted to wet sand the car and have it clayed for $350. Thanks
  18. I plan on taking alot of pictures. I dont plan on doing the work myself no way. I am gonna go get some estimates 2 marrow I was just wondering if I have the work done will I end up with a car full of swirls because of the wet sand?
  19. Where I work there are apartments behind my building. They are painting the apartments and I notice after work today my car os covered in overspray. Windows, every inch of paint, headlights, taillights, wheels etc... Keep in mind this is a 1995 SC4 with 17K on it color is the teal mist metallic. Garage kept perfect condition not one blemish in the paint or a noticable swirl. Now my baby is covered in overspray the paint feels like sandpaper. I contact the apartment manager and try to contact the paint contractor. Somehow they will pay but my question is how much do you think this will cost and can it be brought back to perfect? Suggestions please. Thanks.
  20. You are not going to be able to put a 9.5 on front and make is look decent at all. 8.5 is the biggest you need trust me.
