  1. Does anyone have a rundown of codes for 99? I guess all OBDII have the same codes Hi Sam, I don't know if it's the same for 1993 but in my 1992-SC400 book it says this; CODE 14 : NO IGF1 SIGNAL FROM IGNITOR NO.1 - IGNITION CODE 41 : OPEN OR SHORT IN CIRCUIT FOR MORE THAN 0.5 SECOND - THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. If you wish I can email you the 2 complete pdf files for my 1992 manual. Cheers! ← ← Hey Guys, I have a problem also. I don't know what the codes would be but my 1997 SC300 runs and cranks beautifully unless I let the car sit for more than 3 days. Then the battery dies and I have to jump it off. Yes, I have replaced the battery and was told the alternator is OK. Do you think I could have a short circuit somewhere? All the interior lights, radio and everthing works unless I let it sit for 3 or more days??? Any suggestions? If you are anywhere near TN (I see you are in GA) you can use my big Snap on scanner. It'll tell you what you had for breakfast. I'm hoping (guessing) you had it fixed by now since you posted in february.
  2. Yeah, I was afraid of that. Looks like I'm in for a whole lotta fun... Thanks.
  3. Thanks Pong. That's what I thought too. I emailed him asking if it was Vertex...Vertex seems difficult to mount...they have no bolt holes according to what I read in their description. Says drilling required. Cheap though.
  4. I appreciate this help. With only 35,000 miles I don't think it's the computer, but maybe a ground. Great place to start.
  5. AdamLexus: What brand is that front bumper? Thanks, Dave
  6. Jibby: Thanks for the reply. YES. I am facing buying another tomorrow or Tuesday in an attempt to fix. This is crazy. At the price of these things, after a few more , I could have bought a used motor. Any idea where to get them? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Dave
  7. Sorry to bust in here, but since the problem is solved, I am asking for help with what might be a similar problem. It's related to ignition anyway. I p[osted my own thread but cause I'm a newbie, I guess I'm getting no replies... It looks like you know your way around these cars, so I am asking for your help. I justg bought a 99 sc300 and right away it burned out two ingiters. This while at a trusted mechanics shop. They are going thru the car. This baffles them. They know mitsubishis real well; in fact my very modded 3000 gt was built there. I know 3000s but not sc300. Can you help? Anyone? Thanks. Dave
  8. I have searched thru here to no avail. I bought a 99 sc300 with an igniter problem. I replaced it, the car ran fine for a day, then it blew again. Anyone have this problem? Any ideas? Thanks!
