I just managed to crack the rear cover on one of my 2002 SC430 keys. It looks like I can just replace the cover and ebay has them listed around ~$10, they claim they are oem. is there a better source for these? I would hate to blow $10 or $15 to get a cover that is not much better than the one that just broke. Any suggestions?

I get to the point that Wheel and caliper was removed. I tried to smash the rotor off with he rubber hammer, but with no luck. There are two bolt holes in the rotor... I think they are M6 x 1.25, you can usually find a spare couple of bolts somewhere under the hood. Insert the bolts into the holes and tighten them evenly into the holes. The rotor will pop off easily after a few turns no matter how rusted it is... What kinda C-clamp do I need to push the piston back? I haven't done Ls430 rear brakes in a while but if memory serves, the pistons don't push back in... they turn in, you need a special tool, $29 at Harbor Freight, a bit more at an auto parts store..

I'm curious too! where does he put the mini? I kept searching and found a picture.... Anyone know if an 89 Supra Spare will also work?

The search keeps telling me that I have to have 4 letter words to search this subject Anyway, I just got a 2002 SC430 and I was considering upgrading the GPS DVD. It appears, from the forum here that I have a Gen 2/3 unit... correct? What is the newest version that they have upgraded the unit to? Is it worth the investment? Any new features, will the update turn off the Nag Screen, I am tired of agreeing. My sisters 2002 LS430 GPS has a black background so I assume her's is a different version... Any clue if hers is newer or older... or just completely different?
