Check the cruise control...if it doesn't work...it is the clock spring. (Also known as spiral cable) Mine was broken in my 2000 LX and I had to buy one from Lexus and install. Did it myself...not too tough...but the part was pricey.

Does anyone have the part number for a 2000 LX Clock Spring...and do you know if it is the same part as a 2000 Land Cruiser? (I've found that the Toyo dealer is a little more reasonable than my Lexus shop. Pulled mine out...found the split (Horn, Cruise not working & airbag light on) and actually tried to solder the ribbon cable back together to no avail...just too small an item for an untalented solderer. Question 2- Can a standard double-din nav system fit in our openings? For instance...a Pioneer AVIC-Z1? Thanks folks!!
