  1. I have a 2000 LX and I need new headlights due to a small accident and I was wondering if anyone here knows if the headlights from a 2004 will fit on my 2000? I like the way the 04 look with the light blue film and everything...I would also like to know if the 04 foglights fit my 00 LX470? Thanks!
  2. There is a store on Ebay that sells take of wheels and thay are factory wheels with Toyota stamped on them and not replicas. I have a 2000 LX and I wanted to go from the factory 16 inch to the factory 18 inch, but the 18's from the 2006 and up LX. I found them on OEM Rims on Ebay for $799.00 with free shipping. These wheels are hot and just one of the rims had a couple of scratches on the centercap which is barely visible, but for the money you can't beat it. I got a quote from the Lexus dealership for $725.00 each, thats $2900.00 for all 4 and thats just rediculous. Trust me, go to Ebay and type Lexus LX470 wheels in the search area and close to the bottom of the page you'll see a title: Factory Toyota Landcrusier, LX470 18" wheels for $799.00, and if you go back to the 18's go with a 285/60/18 tire instead of the 275/60/18 tire, they look better and ride better too, plus you have beter tires availible at the 285 series...I went with the Continentals, great price and they are outstanding compared to my factory Michelins. Good-luck!
  3. Since I bought my lovely LX470 my passenger side mirror hasn't been functioning, so I decided to take it to the Lexus dealership It was there for 4 days and they told me that the mirror ECU isn't working and it will cost $467.97 to fix, so I just got up and left. I hate the dealership next to where I live becasue I don't think they know what they are doing and they just damn scare me, especially with there prices. For half that price I was thinking about getting another mirror on Ebay? I really don't think it's the ECU of the mirror if the mirror actually has an ECU?...When I put the car in reverse both mirrors go down and when I put it in drive they both go back to where they were. I only cannot control the passengers side mirror from the mirror switch. If I were to use the mirror switch to try to set my passengers side mirror it will not go up, down, left, or right...so I am thinking that it could be the mirror switch. Lexus dealerships better get there acts together, they quoted me for both front wheel rotor and pad replacement with labor at $699.96, so again I laughed and went to my buddy that works at a Parts for Imports store and he got me all 4 rotors and pads for all 4 wheels for $195.00 and had them installed at a local mechanic, thats been in the area for over 20 years, for $150.00 with a total of $345.00 for all 4 wheels and Lexus wanted more than double for just the fronts. I am never taking my LX to the dealership again. I hope someone can help me with the mirror problem :( By the way, my LX stops on a dime with the new parts and tires.
  4. Yeah they are right...I have a 2000 LX470 and upgraded to the 2006 18 inch factory wheels that I found on Ebay and wrapped them with 285/60/18 tires from TireRack.com and they look and ride great. I was worried that my ride will get stiffer, but it didn't...must be because of those Continentals. I was skeptic at first, but after reading the reviews on TireRack.com I went with the Continentals, plus they are $103.00 each and all-season can't beat that...compared to the Goodyear and Michelin tires that ranged from $168.00 to $269.00 each!
  5. I was wondering if someone else had this problem? Just the other day I made a right hand turn, turned my right signal on and noticed the blinker blinking very rapidly. I then tested the left turn signal and it was blinking much slower and as usual normal. I got outside, after I parked the LX of course, and noticed that the bumper right signal light was not blinking, but the back was and very rapidly. Maybe because the right signal light bulb could be burned and thats why its blinking very fast to the right? I really need help on this one and thanks!
  6. Don't even wait man, that's a great deal. I bought my 2000 with 67k miles for $22,000 and I would have definitely paid the extra $5,000 for one that was 2 years newer and had 14k miles less. GET IT MAN, they are really great SUV's...
  7. I don't know what you guys are talking about. I have no problems with my cupholder...My dad had a 1993 LS400 with no problems...my brother had a 2002 LS430 and definitely no problems. You want to buy a car with cupholder woes, then get a Mercedez. My dad got rid of his LS400 for a 1999 S420, and what a piece of crap. He is still crying, "I never should have gotten rid of my Lexus"...too late now. His cupholder won't close, he had it fixed for $150.00 and a week later it still won't close. His glovebox won't open, the heater really doesn't blow warm when it's cold outside evev after a half-huor ride, and the instrument panel is blacked out from all the light bulbs that are burning out. His LS400 was a 1993 and the instrument panel worked like new. Crying about cupholders, shame on you all :)
  8. Does anyone know if the Mark Levinson CD changer from a 2002 LX470 will work in my 2000 LX470. I really need some help here because I have some issues with my Nakamichi CD changer. Thanks!
  9. There is one on Ebay for $425.00 I think it's kind of high, but it's a decent CD changer.
  10. I have the same issue...when I go in reverse the mirrors go down, but when I put in drive the drivers side mirror does not go to the previoud position. Also, I can move the drivers side mirror with the mirror control, but the passengers side I can't. I also here a whistling noise coming from the dash. Do you think that replacing the junction block will fix all these problems? Also, does anyone know where I can purchase a junction block at a reasonable price? Thanks!
  11. I have a 2000 LX470 and I am also interested in the OEM navigation. My e-mail is nuzi53@yahoo.com and let me know what the total cost will be and can it be installed on my own or professionally. Thanks!
