  1. Well, I have left all maintenance to the Lexus dealer. I assume they would tell me if I need alignment or adjust tire pressure. In the first few months of driving I guess I drove more MPG friendly, you know, one eye on the nav screen and one eye on the road. But after a while I got sick of worrying about it and just drove and enjoyed the ride. This is my first Luxury car and 2000 miles a month is a lot of time in my car. When I bought the car I didn't realize that I would have to drive like an old Granny in order to get 25MPG. I didn't really research the whole hybrid thing, but I liked the car and thought if it was good enough for AL Gore, then it was good enough for me. I guess the inconvenient truth is a !Removed!! I love the car, just disappointed in the current 21 MPG. I guess I should take it in to the dealer and see what they say.
  2. I got it on January 2nd- 2007 RX400h 12,000 miles already, thats about 2000 miles a month I drive. That is why I bought the Hybrid. I was getting 24-26 MPG in the first four months, Combo of Highway and city, all though in L.A. the highway is sometimes more Jammed with traffic than the city. Now in the last two months I get 20-21 MPG. What's Up???
  3. I would trade mine in for this one, then people might stop asking me why am I driving my sisters car!
  4. I bought my RX400h in Westlake Village, Ca. The dealer here is very aware of all the frustrating problems with bluetooth set up, so they have a "Bluetooth guy". I made an appointment and within 10 minutes, he hed the whole thing up and running on a Verizon LG phone. Transfered 250 cpntacts. I believe he transfered my phonebook to a compatable format then uploaded to my car. The only thing I had to do, was get rid of any leading "1's" in my phone book because the caller ID in Nav screen does not recognize the leading 1 in front of the 10 digit number.
  5. Is this dvd used to update streets and poi's?
  6. Deutsch100, I went to AL and Ed's auto sound www.al-eds.com. They did the whole job for me, cost was about $750.00, but I figure it is a one time investment and I spend many hours a day in my car. I believe they had to pull the dash apart, but they did an excellent job and know one would know it wasn't factory installed. Lexus has an exclusive agreement with XM, so they can't tell you that it is possible to install Sirius. All touch screen and actual radio functions work perfectly with Sirius Radio. Good luck, Rockitogden Thanks Rockitogden! I appreciate the reply. That's pretty $, as Longo Lexus here in So.Cal quoted $800 for the install including parts and labor. Granted, that was for XM, and I do like Sirius better. In the past, I've found out that, god forbid, if you have any kind of electrical problems, ALL auto manufacturers and dealers, will try and blame your aftermarket additions for any and all problems. It's kind of their way of making you do this stuff at the dealer, get screwed with prices, for equipment that they want you to have. I agree about aftermarket stuff, but I gotta have my Howard Stern!

  8. I have 8500 miles on my 400h... 1.I get 24mpg no matter how hard or easy I drive. 2. Mine came with the Michelin tires, no problems with those. 3. I purchased a serius satalite system from a stereo shop, they went in and replaced the XM brain, so the serius is displayed through nav system and has no external wires or parts. Attena is a small flat disc right above rear brake light, hardly visable, again no exposed wires. Works great. 4. Blue tooth phone has a few flaws, but i use it all day. I had to take my phone into the dealer ( they have a bluetooth guy) he transfered my phone book into the system, 250 contacts. It seems the rx400h does not do this function easily with most phones. I was used to using my motorola bluetooth ear piece, and the voice command system on that works like magic...you lose this capability with the "in car" system. Incoming calls are awesome, Caller ID on nav system...stereo shuts off and one button on steeing wheel answers the call. Speed dials on nav system are fast and easy for outgoing calls, you get 18 I think...all other calls are easier done from the phone itself, less safe then my old motorola. 5. Voice command button on steering wheel is useless. 6. Overall I love the car, it rides like a dream.
  9. I find myself tring to drive so conservativly all the time to keep those numbers up. I am going to ignore the mpg screen for the next refill and drive normally and see what kind of MPG i get.
  10. When I look at the on board enrgy screen, it shows AWD only when in electric mode. It appears that only the electric motor provides power to the rear wheels. When it kicks into engine mode, which is most of the time...it shows front wheel drive only. What is the deal with AWD?
  11. I have the 2007 rx400h. I have been reading all about the bluetooth problems, especialy with regard to the phone book. I tried and tried to transfer phone book with no success. I went to verizon for help or to buy a new phone if needed...they said they could not help. All this because I was too impatient to wait for my bluetooth appointmet with my lexus dealer, which was set up last week when I purchased my new car. After reading all posts, i had pretty much given up on making it work. I have a motorola e815 phone. I just came back from my appointmet at Lexus, and their bluetooth guy had everything up and running in 10 minutes. All phonebook (about 300 contacts) are now in my nav system. No new phone required. Very happy! The only thing left is to take my phone and edit all "1's" from the begining of my 10 digit contacts and then reload my phone book again. It seems the Lexus system does not recognize the caller ID if there is a 1 before phone number. Go ask your dealer if you are having problems.
  12. I bought my rx400h Jan 1st. Sticker claimed 27-35 mpg. After 2500 miles (I drive a lot) I am getting about 24 mpg. Anyone getting more?
  13. I just had Sirius installed in my 2007 rx400h. Works great, clean install...al thru nav system. No visible hardware accept the anttenna. A small round flat disc on dash in corner tucked under windsheild. I didn't even notice it for several hours after I picked up my car. I got it done at www.al-eds.com Very Happy, very expensive!
