  1. Mine did that for a while. I kept tapping at it until the shock finally got it to open. Then I cleaned syrupy dry soda deposits off it and repeated the process until it worked smoothly again. If you can't get it to open at all this may not help you. But try repeated hard taps with your finger tips or even a small rubber hammer to see if you can shock it into opening. Bob Thanks Bob, I will!
  2. Hi: :P I figure it out why the vanes would not stay in place, they had two pieces that fell off and found them in the seats this morning. Took the vents out and after like 3 hours put them toghether and snap them back in the car. I now feel I can rest with the LEX and enjoy life a little more. Oxygen sensor problem, fixed, A/C noise Fixed, now the only things is the bumper that has some minor problems that will need paint, and presto. Also learned the Lexol is the best for the Leather I will go an buy some ASAP. Sincerely: C. PR Hope you do not have to take that vent apart, is a mess putting it back up. I feel it was designed by The N. Pole Santa helper, yes those small personages, of the movies... Hi! I have a 98 LS 400. The little clip on the left vent has come off. I read your post, and looked at the link. IUs there anything, from your experience, that might help me in taking apart & fixing this? Thanks, Willie
  3. Hello, I'm brand new to the club, and am very excited to be here. (Just inherited a 98 LS400 from my wife, as she moves on up the Lexus chain.) Well, the armrest comes down fine, but the cupholder sliding thing is stuck in there. The dealership says I need a new armrest. I tried sliding a spatula in there to see if I could get anything to release. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Willie
